An arc of bright blue light left the sword and headed towards the worm. Dan did not stop there since it was a ginormous creature several tens of metres wide. He quick drawer his sword and cast several more massive arcs.

The arcs cut the worm into 5 giant equal pieces of slimy, tender meat. It was disgusting to look at the least.

The blood sprayed everywhere raining down to the ground. The blood headed in Dan's direction only for it to be blocked the darkness that surrounded Dan as if it was his aura.

Dan brought himself down and landed on the ground. As soon as he did he was met with a notification from the system.

➡️ Congratulations, after tedious and painful hard work you have reached level 100. I applaud the strength and determination that you have shown to overcome all the hardships thrown your way.

➡️You shall receive your unique skill after the update.

➡️Update will start in 3... 2... 1...

➡️System update has begun.

➡️Time till complete system update : 4 hours.

Dan sighed when he saw this. He had been killing a shit ton of monsters just to find out what his unique skill was but now he had to wait four extra hours. At least it was only four hours. Surely it would pass by fast. It would right.

"Ok put one of those slices of meat on the cart."

The worm had been cut like a swiss cake in several equal parts but they were too big to fit all of them in the cart.

Charlie picked up one of the giant pieces of the carcass and placed it on the cart. They set of once again. For the past few hours this was what they were doing, they would use one of the creatures they killed as bait for another creature and then they would kill that creature and then use that creature as bait for better prey.

"Wow, it's really cold isn't it?" Charlie said.

Dan threw the giant piece of the dead carcass he had been carrying onto the floor.

"Well normally in an area where it snows a lot it would be cold." Dan replied.

They were on top of a snow covered mountain. The bushes and trees were all white not because they were covered in snow but the fact that it lacked chlorophyll.

Dan walked forward for a while and stood before the crater of the mountain. He looked down at it. Instead of lava there was actually something else.

It was a tall white flower that was slumping on the ground. It's petals were a bright red with yellow dots. Everything else was white. It's stem, it's sepals and even it's roots that were out of the ground. There was a powerfully cold mist that was surrounding it all over.

Dan noticed the dead corpses and skeletons of people and animals. Dan turned to Charlie. "Get ready." Dan kicked the piece of the dead worms corpse into the crater and Charlie threw the piece in the crater.

Nothing happened. For a few seconds Charlie and Dan stood above the crater looking down at the flower that was nearly the size of the worm from earlier on.

Dan watched as the flowers petals opened up to reveal a human like head inside it. The flower moved itself forward and sniffed the carcass of the worm. It opened its mouth which stretched on and on until it was open enough to swallow the worm.

The same thing happened once more to the other corpse. "Go," Dan said.

Charlie grew in size several fold until finally he morphed into his dragon form. For the past few weeks Dan had been teaching him how to use his dragon form. Charlie jumped inside the crater. The flowers stem was several times thicker as it seemed to have absorbed all the nutrients instantly.

This flower was the victim of Dan's bullying. Dan had managed to come across it by chance and he did not let this chance slip by. It became Charlie's training partner. It would be fed creatures that they hunted and it would, regain its strength and then be beat to near death. The only reason why this worked was because the flower was not capable of remembering anything at all. It had a terrible memory. It would always fall for the same trick over and over again. The prey they caught would be used for bait and then they would fight.

Dan sat down his legs dangling from the crater. He lit a cigarette and looked at it. It was his final cigarette. He only had a bit of marijuana left. He sighed as he took a puff from the cigarette letting the smoke come out of his nose.

"JUST KILL IT THIS TIME, IT HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH!" Dan shouted at Charlie.

He didn't bother looking as he laid on his back looking at the empty sky.

Dan chuckled to himself as he remembered something. "Damn, he was pretty naive and dumb back then."
