The Providence of Solomon: I Become The Lord of 72 Demons

"Contract with the Devil"—how many times have you heard these words? If you could sell your soul to have any wish fulfilled, would you do it? Many people ponder this question. Rafael is a final-year student at Royal Valtara Academy. For him, nothing is more important than his sister's happiness. By a twist of luck, he discovers that he is one of Solomon's possible heirs, the lord of Purgatory. The Reason

"I can see when someone is really in distress, and your face reflects that. Someone is out there wanting to kill you. Rather than thinking how absurd the situation was, shouldn't you think, who ordered that?

Let's say there are people with abilities.

What kind of person do you think can hire people like them?"

Rafael felt what Airine said made sense. Believe it or not, this meant someone was targeting him. And whoever it was, they had access to means beyond his imagination.

"What will you do if you are in my position?" Rafael asked.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I would go to a church and pray. It's not like there is anything I can do against people who have that kind of weird ability.

They can kidnap you in the middle of the street in broad daylight.

How about at night? Or when you're alone at home? What capability do they have? Might as well just accept your fate," Airine replied in a flat tone.

'Just when I think of her differently…' Rafael thought while his lips twitched.

But to his surprise, Airine let out a small chuckle, then said, "Just kidding. Look, I don't believe anyone in this world is invincible. There should be a reason why they do it in this way, attacking you in broad daylight. Also, didn't you say you can fight him back? This means your situation is not that bad."

She then put the phone in her backpack and stood up. "Do you have anything you want to tell? If not, let's go back. It's almost night."

"No, that is enough. I am still in disbelief about the whole thing, but thank you for hearing my story without laughing."

Airine didn't reply; she just walked past Rafael toward the door. Rafael took the briefcase and got out of the room.

They walked together until they reached the school gate. In front, a modest car was already parked, waiting for Airine.

She raised her hand, gesturing goodbye, then entered the car in the front seat. Rafael waved back as he saw the car leave the school.

He then remembered he had seen it parked for a while. 'Is it her family?' Rafael wondered while making his way toward the bus station.

If she was going home alone, Rafael wanted to offer to walk her home. Despite his first impression, he really thought of her as a friend.

His trip this time was smooth, without any problems. Reaching his house, he did his usual routine: shower, then lay on the bed.

Rafael then turned his gaze toward the briefcase lying on his desk. 'I am sure if someone were seeing me from a distance, I would feel it. So, there is no way I am under surveillance. In the first place, they need to bait me using Tom…'

Rafael then started thinking if it was really Tom.

The one attacking him somehow seemed able to create illusions. He then remembered the weird gesture the attacker made.

'There is also that strange item he took out before he vanished. Is that something like a magical item? Then what about the illusion of the whole space? Is it time-limited? Or because of some object too?'

Many questions arose in his mind, followed by wild speculation about the man's background. But the more he thought, the more confused he was.

If this kind of ability is real, won't the higher-ups know about this?

The thought that someone with this capability targeted him was just insane. He was not rich, nor did he have anything precious. His family was normal, other than his missing parents.

Rafael then started speculating about whether it was related to the reason they went missing. But based on his knowledge, both of them were just normal people.

His father earned a decent amount of money but nothing extravagant. His mother just stayed at home, taking care of both of them.

Despite his young age at that time, he was quite clear about this. After both of them disappeared, Reina was in a slump of depression.

He was the one checking everything: bank accounts, savings, even the bills. Reina was still the one paying it, but at that time she just followed his instructions.

Rafael then turned his gaze to his phone. If anyone could tell him about this, or probably the reason for the attack, there was only one that made sense… Aurora.

She was a princess, one of the top elites in the country. There was no way she didn't know about these people with power if they really existed.

'Now that I think about it, there should be a few people guarding her no matter where she goes.

I don't believe she doesn't have any bodyguards. Then why didn't they intervene when I attacked those two actors?'

Rafael thought for a moment but then realized it was probably because he didn't have any malicious intent toward Aurora.

He was foolishly trying to save her.

"Aurora, you busy?" Rafael sent her a message.

His eyes glued to the screen, hoping for a quick reply, but it didn't come.

Rafael let out a sigh, then put his hand back on top of the bed. "If she is the reason, does this mean someone finds my relationship with Aurora irritating?"

Beep!

Feeling the vibration in his hand, Rafael raised his phone again.

"Did something happen? (> <)"< p>

"Why can I not ask? Lol"

"You can; it's just you never chat with me first. So, did you meet a girl?

Did you want to ask me for advice on asking them out? (^ ^)"

"No, it's not about that."

"Oh… you know, I won't judge you. If you are gay, you can just tell me about it." Auroras asked.

She thinks this because Rafael never makes a move at her.

Every men he met so far will already asked her out for a date, or start having some talk showing their interest.

Rafael's lips twitched, 'The hell! How did it suddenly become I am gay!?'
