Chapter Seven: The Death Of Power

They arrived at the Vampire Kingdom with little resistance. The Vampires were still gone and that was something that concerned every one. It will hook up there and be at least some more guards protecting the castle but there was nothing. Gwen and the others entered the throne Room where they found the King And Queen sitting upon their thrones, almost seeking to await their arrival.

" It is so, that our daughter has returned to us " The King spoke. He seemed updated by the sight of the daughter he had believed to be dead. " Yes Father. I have returned. I have returned to take my place upon the throne. The place that you have misused. The same throne from which you have manipulated our people and turned them to their own vices" Gwen spoke.

The King and Queen looked on, observing and analyzing the group before them. " And I see you have brought the Witch and Lycan. The supposed saviors of the world. Despite having been at each other's throats for thousands of years " he laughed.

" The Lycans and have Witch's have been closes allies until my mother came along. Stop lying " Kara spoke up which only made the King grin more.

" Foolish girl. You know nothing of your own people or the Lycan's except what you have read from books written by a deciever. Why would you take the word of people that have already proven their lies to you to be the most hurtful. The same people who in turn, lied to you and had a hand in killing your Dogs parents" The King laughed, finding her arrogance hysterical.

" My mother was a vile woman. She did alot of messed up things. But I not my mother. And I want to lead a land where we are all treated fairly. I want to see our lands proper. And not just ours, but yours as well. For far too long, we have been at war. For far too long we have killed one another and gotten nowhere with it. I want this suffering to end and you can't tell me that on some level..you don't want it to end as well? " Kara was stepping into her role as a leader finally. She was doing everything she could to make them see reason but they seemed to not care.

" We have already achieved peace. Through the complete anhilation of the Lycans and the abandonment of your people. Why would we need peace? We are free to do as we please right now" The King made a valid point. As it currently stood, the Vampires had alot more power than anyone else did.

" Because it could mean the sparring of your life. It could mean that you see a world where there is actual peace. I read somewhere that the Witches use to prepare the Vampires a concoction. It was something similar to blood but without the addictive properties. You could all have that and I could ensure it. It could be something that would be constructive for the world. " Kara had read some books on the Witches making some type of strong ingredients that was able to help curve the affections for Blood. She had never tried it herself but she thought it would be something that would be helpful given the situation

" You don't even know how to prepare that. Noone has for a very long time" the King called back, knowing that this young Witch was completely inexperienced.

" Well I could give it a shot.." Kara Continued to offer but it seemed to only make the King more impatient.

" No. What you need to do is leave my Kingdom with this foolish nonsense. I have grown tired of these games. And Gwen " he turns his attention directly to Gwen. " If you wish to dethrone me, then come take the throne. But understand this, I will not give it up easily. You know how this works" He explained, Gwen held her head down now. " I know..." Gwen answered as the King rose from his throne.

" Gwen..this is an absolute disgrace. You aligning yourself with these mongrels. You know you cannot defeat your father and you know this will only lead to your death yet again" Her mother scolded which made Gwen look back up with a simple smile. " I never said I would be fighting him "

Gabriel and Kara stepped forth. Ready to fight against the King. They didn't know the true strength he possessed but they prepared themselves for the worst. " If you two think that you can take me down..you are sadly mistaken. I am not Aurora. I am not some incapable Witch who couldn't win her own battle despite being stronger than you both. I am going to make you suffer" the King smirked, as he charged at them both with extreme speed. He connected several hits on Gabriel and Kara individually before returning to Gabriel and slamming into a wall where he proceeded to punch him repeatedly, bones snapping with each punch.

" GET OFF OF HIM" Kara screamed as she recovered and charged at the King who simply backhanded her, flinging her across the room and into another wall.

" This looks bad.." Shawn comments as they all watch on. " No. They have got this. They do make a good team in battle from what you've said. They won't surrender" Raven was trying her best to believe that despite watching them getting tossed around the room like they were nothing.

" KARA" Gabriel shouted as the Kings fist connected with Kara's face, sending her to the ground, crashing hard onto the floor. In this moment, Gabriel's eyes began to glow, and he was feeling the power surge through him yet again.

" I don't think so Pup" The King laughed as he punched Gabriel directly in the face, almost knocking him completely unconscious. He then picked up Gabriel's body and threw it at Kara who was just now getting to her feet, and after their bodies collided, the fell back to the floor.

" My turn" Shawn stepped forward, raising his scythe from behind him. He was ready to kill, and done with playing games.

" Shawn rushed The King who for the most part avoided Shawn's attacks. Though, it didn't take too long for Shawn to eventually overwhelm him with his barrage of slices and slashes, the King, eventually succumbing to Shawn and dying at the connection of Shawn's Scythe.

" Why didn't we just do that in the first place? " Raven asked, realizing how many things could have been avoided if he had just joined into the fight in the first place"

However the Queen was still alive and pleaded for her life from Shawn. " Please don't kill me, I want to live. You can have the throne. You can have anything you want. I'll tell you all anything you want to know " She had never seen her husband decimated like that before and it of course would mean absolute doom for her considering she was not nearly as strong as him. In truth, she wasn't even as strong as Gwen.

" Where are the other Vampires? " Shawn demanded to know. The Queen, without hesitation gave them the answer they were looking for. " We sent them to earth, to feed. All of them. They have been there for months and you would be lucky to find a single carrier with an ounce of blood within them " She confessed. " Thank you for your time " Shawn smiled and flicked the Queen's head, her body falling backwards, completely limp.

" Okay, so I think we are all good here? " Shawn smiled at the group as Raven rushed to Kara and Gabriel and tried to heal them.
