Nice to finally meet you

*Chapter thirteen*

Emma's POV

I rolled under the sheets stretching my arms to the other end to feel the warmth of my lover but what came to me was the cold horrifying space of emptiness. I jerked up,searching around for Dave.

He was in the shower,I followed suit, joining him...

This past few days was a blast,I could still feel the sensational touch of Dave on my skin. Though something had been off with him for weeks,he was acting cold and distant... I had my suspicion at first but is all good now.

Dave was mine,we've been through it all together, and nothing could take this away.

Soon we were all done and out of the shower. "Dave" I whispered into his ears, tempting him for some hours together before leaving for work. I pulled my lips closer.

"Sorry love but not now. Have you forgotten we have an important meeting to attend." He wobbled in pleasure as I helped fixing his tie.

Yea we do. I sighed, giving my make up some finishing touches.

I drove out to the Company, with Dave following in a different car. I was getting so sick and tired of the hide and sick love we've been playing. It's been on for years now and It was time it stopped.

It's been a very hard task keeping Dave from the disgusting claws of female whores. Especially at the Company. But soon, only a matter of time, they'll all come to know his mine. Only mine.

I finally arrived at the Company with Dave trailing from behind.

I had a lot on my mind, finally I'll be meeting 'Mrs Reed' My inner thought said with a sarcastic tone. I could be alot of things but I never underestimate my feminine instinct. And unfortunately, the glances Dave threw her at the party many weeks ago registered something. Something I sure wouldn't stand for...Today I would see for myself.

In short minutes, the meeting begun but our dear business partner was yet to arrive, the RECO associates. Dave wasn't fidgeting but I was. I glanced over at nerdy four eyed Martin, he too was a little nervous. That barely surprised me.

Getting the contract was great news, but something within me was on the edge. The fact that Natalie Reed of RECO Corp would be overseeing the project.

We haven't had a proper encounter but i dare say again something was doubtlessly off right from the party.

The door of the meeting room opened, revealing two females walking in,just with a glance one could tell it was her,Natalie Reed. Her elegance and superiority gave it all away.

"Natalie..." Dave was up on his seat, with an awful grin on exposing his gorgeous white teeth. His eyes twinkling brighter than the stars.

"What the hell is wrong with him?' I fumed with anger, giving one look at the so called Natalie.

'She wasn't even that pretty.' I scoffed. Taking a proper look at her. She was wearing a pair of white pant with a cotton red blouse revealing one side of her shoulder.

"Sorry for the wait" She said, finding a seat.

"We haven't waited for long" Dave again, offered with another grin.

He was definitely pushing his luck.

"Yes we haven't" I chimed, with some emotions bubbling within me. "I'm Emma Brooke,Vice president of Krystal Group" I watched her intently, giving out my hands as she turned, her face inches away.

I could now have a good look.

She had a soft skin, with her dark brown hair falling to the side. Her sky blue eyes bored into mine.

I froze

I swear, for a minute I cringed in fear. I didn't know why but I suddenly felt so sick and strange.

This was strange.

A foreign frightful feeling washed over my whole body.

"Well nice to finally meet you" With what could be described as a smile she took my hands.

I jerked a bit at her touch. Her hands were cold,it's brought shivers down my spine.

My body weakened, my eyes never leaving hers. With a tiresome smile, the meeting begun.

The helplessness and chill I felt never forgotten,my mind roamed tirelessly.

Something wasn't right,I knew it down to my bones. She kept sparing me some gaze now and then.

The more her sky blue eyes bored into mine, the more I sank into whatever damn hole of fear my mind had suddenly harboured.

Her gaze was sickening and highly disturbing.

'Those sky blue eyes' I jolted.

And for the first time in a long while, she crept into my subconscious. Jeanine.

'Yes Jeanine.' My inner thought yelled finally solving the puzzle.

Those gazes were no doubt Jeanine's. That wench and I grew up together. Even till death I could recognize those eyes. It was certainly similar to hers.

But It couldn't be her.

It could never be Jeanine.

She was dead and gone....even forgotten.

A devilish smile blossomed on my lips. I remembered the mortifying end of Jeanine Smith and the loathsome life she led.

Those were nothing but shadows of the pasts.

Natalie was quite different.

No doubt she was. But she should be weary, all enemies of mine have one thing in common... Their disgusting sudden deaths.

Nonetheless, my intuition was never wrong. Either ways...Natalie Reed was danger.

One I must avoid at all cost.
