Chapter 97

Chauffeur

Nathaniel walked into his car where his chauffeur waited in front of the Verdi family mansion. He noticed a wolf mask sticking out of the black bag owned by the driver.

"You're still keeping that?" he asked out of curiosity.

"Might still be useful," replied his chauffeur.

"That's true. Who knows when an old acquaintance might show up."

"Probably not very long." He paused to remember a certain phantom thief.

"Great job infiltrating the society. It has been a long ride, but it's finally over. Thankfully, no one suspected our connection this whole time and we managed to achieve a smooth ending." Nathaniel was pleased with everything they managed to accomplish.

"What do we do about the Verdis?"

Nathaniel glanced at the Verdi mansion. "I doubt they will try anything with all the volumes destroyed for good. If they send people to the ruins of Aqua Chrysalis again like before and find something, we'll take it from them and destroy it."

"Understood."
