"Miss Momo, you have a guest. He was very eager to have a word with you," said the Verdi family butler after entering the library where Momo was absorbed in a book.

"Let him in," Momo replied without asking any questions about her guest.

Nathaniel entered the room.

"Hey," he said casually with a wave.

Momo glared. "What?"

He stepped back. "Woah. I just greeted you and you're already giving me a death glare. Relax."

She looked away and puffed her cheeks. "I suppose you're here to tell me that they've picked a new date for the wedding."

"No, I'm here to tell you that they've cancelled it."

Momo looked back at him and blinked twice. "Huh? But why?"

"I had a few words with my father. I managed to convince him somehow."

"Why did you do that?"

"I expected a 'Thank you' not a question."

Momo rolled her eyes. "You'll get one after I make sure you're not up to anything."
