Chapter 63

Auriel and I ran out of the office and down the hallway. We went through the same way we came in.

He handed the rope to me again. "Tie this around your waist. I'll lower you down."

I quickly did as he instructed and entrusted my safety to Auriel. Despite being in a hurry, he carefully lowered me until my feet made contact with the ground. He then climbed down the building.

"What are you doing here?"

I turned my head to the direction of the voice.

It was Cyrus. He was with two bodyguards. We both froze in place before I took off and ran.

What was he doing there? Did he see through my disguise?

I didn't dare look back and check if he was following me. I stopped running when I was out of breath. Fortunately, Cyrus didn't send his bodyguards after me.

Is Auriel alright on his own?

After a while, a black car stopped beside me. The windows rolled down, revealing the wolf mask man.

"Get in. We'll go get Auriel too," he said.
