Chapter 30

I yawned as I went out into the hallway to grab some breakfast from the café. Ms. Cat was in a hurry this morning, so she left us some money to buy food.

"Morning," he greeted first like a friendly neighbor. He wasn't as intimidating outside his ‘lair'.

"Good morning, Mr. Shark," I replied.

"No new incident lately?"

"Would you consider the upcoming exams an incident?"

He paused to think. "I suppose."

"That's about the only thing happening."

"I see. That's good then."

"What about you, Mr. Shark?"

"Nothing happening lately on my side too. No news is good news." He received his bag of food from the jellyfish lady. "I'll be taking my leave now. My girlfriend is waiting for the food upstairs."

I waved. "See you around, Mr. Shark."

He smiled. "Please take care of Gene. Also, I hope that idiot professor doesn't bother you too much."
