After around 4 hours the girl jolted up and let out a short breathed screech, I softly grabbed her hand. "Listen carefully, My name is Kaiser Lloyd. I am the man you called to in the store, you are currently back at my barn. I was able to save your life but I'm afraid unless by some miracle you will have to learn to live without your eyes. If you have any memories before loosing conciseness you'll remember that some weird phenomena has taken place and the world now has monsters. The creatures that attacked you were smart enough to use you as bait after taking your sight. Now, what is your name?" The longer I talked the more she relaxed from her starting panicked state.

With a little shake to her voice she gripped my hand a bit, "My name is Ucoy Ihno." Her voice was shaking a little less as she took a couple long breaths. "So I was blinded by those little monsters?" she asked then nodded slightly. She released my hand rather abruptly then gestured as if to look at me. "Thank you," she said in a rather timid voice. "I have slight memories from after the attack though. How exactly did you save me?" she asked with a slight tinge of red filtering her cheeks.

"You where in bad shape so I had to feed you a concoction bought from the Merchant." I said rather unfazed but seeing her fidget around with her hands had my face heating slightly. "I administered the potion about four times, I am sorry but it was necessary." I rubbed the back of my neck.

"It's fine, I am alive after all!" she said very cheerily before her composure completely fell through and tears could be seen streaming down her cheek. I warned her that I'd be right back and went to prepare food for her and the animals and I then came back in with a plate of food.

I helped her to a chair and set the plate on her lap, "I haven't eaten in a while so I went and made you some food, it will take a while to get used to so make sure you are very diligent with sharp objects. I will help you as much as I can, now open!" I said as some memories flooded back and I felt all the weight of the situation bear down on me at once. As I began to feed her I made sure not to overwhelm her as I explained the full situation to her.

Remi came back safe and was fed alongside Echo, Ucoy passed out in my mothers clean bed and I was finally taking a minute to take a well needed rest, after all I hadn't had a real break since before the race yesterday. I sat on the porch swing with Echo by the porch and Remi laying under the swing. "Only if this moment would persist past the rest," I muttered as my consciousness drifted.

Once again I was drawn into that dark abyss with only the emerald serpents eyes glaring back at me. The voice seemed happy to meet me once more, "Kaiser, my liberator, welcome back!" He paused for a couple seconds before continuing, "hope we aren't interrupted once more. I seem to have a question for you." I nodded my head it seemed this place was starting to warm up a bit. "Good, do you think you control yourself?"

I paused with my hand laid on my chin, floating in the void. "I couldn't tell you, they're seem to be moments when I snap. Few and far between, but I'm working on it." I say giving a reaffirming nod once more.

The eyes shown a bit brighter, "you strive to be in full control, even if the being is greater than yourself?" The snake queried with a slight inflection to it's voice.

"There is no stronger gift than life, those who have lost much may be the only to understand this." I said with a flat tone of voice, "I just wish to be better for the ones gone, and if it means beating something greater." I paused hearing a slight humming coming from the snake, I calmed myself. "Then so be it," I clenched my fist looking now with conviction at the eyes.

"Will you accept my blessing?" The snakes voice was almost bashful now. None the less I shook my head.

"I don't know enough about you, I'll do my research and answer later," the snake simply nodded and the humming disappeared. Just like that the snake was gone and I was floating in the warmth of the void, sorting my emotions.

It had felt like days that I was floating with time to myself, I had cried, laughed, and grieved the world I once new. My eyes had shuttered open and I had felt my energies restored with a quick look around it had become night, "probably been 6 hours." I stretched my arms and yawned as I stood, Remi perked his ears up then stood from under the swing.

I'd checked my phone and surely enough there was a missed call from Ucoy, I had helped her put her phones blind settings on with earbuds to use as to not make too much noise. She'd also explained that her class was Binder and the skill that came with it was Life Thread. I arrived at the door and knocked on it, "hello, you called. I'm opening the door."

I heard a quiet yelp from her as I had opened the door. "Mr. Lloyd, I used my natural skill and I got a book. It came with a digital copy." She smiled widely as she jutted the book out beside me. A small smirk passed across my face as I took the book in hand.

"Adventures Guide Vol one, interesting," I thought aloud as I briefly skimmed it. I thought to ask her about the skill but felt it better not to. "Also Ms. Ihno I will get everything you'll need readily accessable and easy to navigate in your room." She nodded in appreciation then shot a thumbs up in my general direction. After a couple of minutes I got some food and other necessities set up for her, since her wounds had healed I needed to aquire more SP because I was sitting at a meager 16 left so the number had told me.

As I was getting ready and telling Ucoy and Remi my goodbyes, she grabbed me by the arm and looked in my direction. "May I use my Life Thread on you?" She had asked the question with a stern conviction reminding me of someone else. Immediately I buckled, not thinking of what all the ability could do.

I nodded then stuttered out a, "y..yeah of course." By time I had realized what I'd done my face was flush with heat and I had turned away from her. She grabbed onto my hand and muttered something, I could feel a small energy pass from her touch to mine. "I am off, take care of her Remi," I said instantly turning to walk out. Ucoy said something but the words fell deaf on my ears, as all I heard was my heart beating.

I had set the saddle on Echo and breathed heavily trying to quell my rampant heart. I finished preparing with some food in small saddle bags and prepared my weapons for a ride. I mounted Echo and began my adventure, taking the same route as last time. Keeping an eye out for any creatures I could or couldn't farm for SP.

I rode slowly this time taking the scenery in a bit better. It was a bit weird cars left empty at scenes of crashes, not to many of these scenes happened outside the city. Once I started to notice buildings off in the distance my grip tightened on the reigns a bit. "We've got this, we are gonna be fine Echo," I said gently patting the side of his neck. I felt a bit of energy flow into Echo and a small smirk crossed my face.

After a little while I noticed the street I had turned down had two piles of small logs laying in the middle of the road. I gave them a closer look and realized they had a faint glowing energy in the center of each one. I dismounted Echo taking a good look all around beforehand.

My foot hit the ground and my sword was drawn quickly I charged the creatures. The first started to move the brittle wood "clacking" together. By time it had fully formed I had pierced my blade through the glowing mass where a head would be. It crumbled back to pieces.

I glanced quickly before ducking as the seconds big wooden arm swung over top me. I regathered myself talking a couple steps back, taking a new stance with the sword at my side and my off hand raised. I watched the creature as it slowly shambled over. It attempted to swing at me again with one of it's arms, I stepped under the blow placing my forearm to it's own. All in one action I applied force to the arm and watched it tumble back a bit, using that time I slashed at the weak bits of bark that guarded the core. With one clean cut I felt my phone vibrate once more.

I quickly surveyed around me pulling my phone out of the sling, "Due to slaying Deadbark Golems(summoned) you have gained 6SP.

I sheathed the Emerald Kukri and mounded Echo. With vigor renewed I decided to head further into the city.
