Joy's of Battle

It was not just Sionn but also Ella and Aurelia slowly growing more and more excited. Eying the beast lunging, a flicker of air flew Sionn's head as he charged.

Blasting ahead from the Ghoul before it saw the flicker of death, Sionn thrust his shield into another while Elle stepped over his shoulder, her blade severing the head of a ghoul before it realized it was not facing one but two.

"Ella, dodge!" ZIreael shouted, twisting his body in seemingly impossible motions. However, there was a sliver of sweat dripping down his neck as the blade severed life from around him. While the young Lord was a mighty warrior, he was still but a child.

Hearing the cold warning, the Alarm spell within Ella's mind echoed like bells. Widening her eyes at the clawing beast about to check her chest. The young druid realized she had no way of turning in the air.

However, a faint roar echoed out as Sionn tossed his shield into the air. Tearing through the air like a speeding bullet, it appeared in between Ella and the Ghoul the moment it struck; feeling the blunt force of the shield against her tiny body, a heavy grunt escaped Ella's lips as she skidded over the floor with Sionn's shield in arm.

"Stay in position! I will get her!" Aurelia shouted at the heavy expression of Sionn rushing to her fallen comrade. "Protect Drilon."

Covering in a dark golden Arcana, Aurelia blurred through the battlefield with a featherfoot spell. Arriving by Ella, who was bleeding from her lips, however, a faint surprise graced her eyes in the form of a smile.

"This is fun! Its... It's really fun!" Said Ella vibrantly, rising from the ground with a few cracked ribs and deep ruby red blood tricking from her chin.

Both relive and joyful at Ella's recovery. Aurelia gripped her shoulder, lifting her away back to the formation by Sionn, who was fighting on his own for a few seconds.

His body was drenched in wounds, nothing life-threatening, but they were beginning to take their toll. Noticing everyone either injured or growing weary from battle, Zireael's blade glimmered, severing a skeleton in half. He eyed the endless stream of skeletons that seemed to grow endlessly.

Leaping to his teammate's side, he frowned. "we need to hide. We made good ground. Let's tend to some of your injures." He said, watching the last of the two ghouls charging without fear of death. "I will handle the rest you all cut through the webs; there should be a chamber there."

Taking his words to heart, the three kids followed Zireael's words. While Drilon simply watched. He had not been injured and was genuinely amazed by the battle prowess of these children. It was amazing to witness their ability to adapt. Sure he saw flaws in their battle style, but he knew they were really young and without experience.

'Did the Red Priest really let such monster go?' he would often ask himself. Fascinated by everyone, especially the boy with the shield. His skills with a sword were not truly that great, but his defensive capabilities were outstanding. Having survived two ghouls on his own, even if for a few seconds.

Casting a firebolt spell to hasten the damage to the webs, Aurelia and Sionn pried the door open, rushing in while ZIrael severed the heads of two ghouls in an instant. Shooting the endless stream of skeletons, a deep stare, he rushed inside while Sionn and Ella rushed to close the door. Blockading the entrance with whatever they could find, the young children all fell limp upon the ground breathing heavily.

"Are you not tired?" Drilon could not help but ask Zireael, who looked perfectly fine. Aside from the faint outline of sweat, he appeared untouched.

"I'm good. I could go for a lot longer, but them not so much," He casually uttered, pulling a few guze and emergency supplies from thin air.

"Are you a spiral Mage?" Drilon shockingly asked, unable to believe his eyes.

"No, I just hold stuff in my soul. It's the safest place. You can seal from space, not the soul." He replied, tending to Ella, who could not even move. Eyeing the Lord tending to her, the smile upon her lips never faded.

"Did I do good?" She asked, looking for recognition.

"You did, the perfect shadow for Sionn. You did so well I will give you a weapon I received living on Alos," he said, pulling out a long elegant rapier that seemed captivating to those who saw it. It appeared similarly like a weapon from a royal with a golden hilt and a silver blade. With a straight edge, leading to a fine point.

Somehow regaining some energy, Ella reached, with bloody hands, "Its name is Rem'Tal, and it can act as both a weapon and a wand. It's quite powerful, but it requires a little more Acana to cast. Although be careful, this weapon seems to hold the blood of a special abnormity in it. If you are not careful, your race may change altogether.

"How did you get that!" Drilon shouted in recognition. "That belongs to the Vampiric Noble House. I hear they are turning over every rock to find."

"Was traded by a group of nobles in hopes of being able to walk within the sun. They were quite unwilling to but with some convincing words of being able to walk in the sun with their full abilities. How could they pass such an opportunity up? It was just too hard to give up."

"Sei'Cal," Ella chanted in the ancient tongue of the elf's when all of a sudden, an emerald acana covered her body. Watching her wounds begin to heal, Zireael smiled.

"Healing light," He translated, rising to his feet. "You Wood Elves hold great power within you. Guess we have a healer now." He said, pointing towards the faint Sionn. "Although you had best heal him first before he bleeds out."

Paling at the heavy drain, Ella nodded, rushing to his side. Chanting her spell, the injuries upon the young man's body began to fade, but Ella could not keep it up fainting alongside the young man.

"I told you it requires more stamina." He warned, shaking his head in disappointment.

"A wood elf who knows the ancient tongue of Seleiviea." Drilon whispered, "her parents must be royals or at least have royal blood within."

"Maybe not," Zireael somewhat disagreed. "The Elven Gods Seleiviea, the Great Mother, is known for her love. It is said, she comes to the young in dreams to teach. It doesn't matter their social status; she teaches without discrimination. But once they wake, their teachings are thought to have been learned by parents or masters. The children will hold no knowledge of what transpired aside from the spell they learn. But such a circumstance is rare, and it's only when they truly understand who Seleiviea is will the Great Mother halt her action moving to the next generation."

Seleiviea - Elven God of Harmony. She favors Wood-elves more than others.
