Chapter 8: Anbu training

First Month

After sparring with the Hokage, Shin was given all of the fire release techniques to learn. With his Sherlock Holmes brain on NZT, he quickly consumed the information and ingrained it into his body. The Anbu that saw the rate at which Shin learned ninjutsu only had one thought in their heads, 'Monster'.

While learning and working on his fire ninjutsu, he was also trained in the art of tracking. He was taught by an Anbu with the codename bear. Bear was no longer surprised in the rate Shin learned. Within the month he became a master tracker that would put most of the Anbu corp to shame.

Due to the Hokage being busy, he would often spar with the Anbu corp members. Every day he would spar with someone that specialized in something different. If one day he fought a kenjutsu specialist, the next he would fight a ninjutsu specialist, and so on. Shin would defeat some Anbu, but he would also lose.

On the rare occasions Lord Third was free, Shin would spend the day asking questions, and sparring. The sparring sessions would often tear apart the training area due to the destructive nature of both their ninjutsu. The spars would be filled with blurs, and the occasional kunai being thrown, with explosions going off due to their ninjutsu clashing head-on.

At the end of the month, Shin examined the four items he received from the Gacha from his numerous roll.

Second Month

During the second month, the Anbu shifted in teaching him more subtle skills seeing that his power was at a good point.

The Anbu prioritized in teaching him infiltration and first aid. He would be assigned to go to random restaurants in the village and listen in to conversations without getting caught. In these restaurants sometimes lied secret Anbu ops who would test him.

For first aid, he was taught basic human anatomy, and the procedures in giving first aid. He quickly rose to the genin level of a medical ninja. (Genin level is bandage wrapping, naruto wiki)

To further his control in chakra, he was told to run up a waterfall. Shin would climb up a water every day after his training with his Anbu teacher for the day.

Most of the month was filled with him reading all the books Konoha had on poisons and herbs. Even if he didn't know how to create antidotes, he at least knew how to identify poisons and herbs in all of the elemental nations.

Sixth Month

By the sixth month of training, Shin perfected the foundations of the training he received. When it came to poisons, he was able to identify the toxins used in the creation of said poison, and effectively neutralize it. He wasn't at the level of Tsunade, however he was a close second. For tracking, he was like a bloodhound. No matter how far the target got, with the use of observation haki he could track a target across the land of fire if needed. His infiltration skills were mastered to the point that he was able to become a long term spy in another great village if needed. An unexpected boon, from infiltration training, was that he acquired the ability to conceal his chakra.

In regards to Shin's taijutsu, he put an act of developing his own style of taijutsu. He called it Water stream rock smashing fist. During the six months, he worked tirelessly to integrate water chakra into his fighting style. Once he perfected the integration, his fists truly flowed like water past enemy defenses, and had a crushing effect. When the Hokage saw this fighting style he asked for Shin to donate it to the village. Shin agreed on two conditions. The first being that the name of the fighting style would not be changed. The second, the Hokage would fund his ninjutsu research. Lord Third quickly agreed.

Another technique Shin pawned off as his own was the Rasengan. He again put on a show of "developing" the technique. He bought a large amount of water balloons, and rubber balls on the Hokage's dollar. He would put on an act of deep thinking when he would act like he came into a wall. Within two weeks of "developing" the Rasengan, he was able to use the technique. Again Lord Third came and asked if he could donate the jutsu to the village. Shin again agreed on the condition that no one outside of Senju approved people could use the jutsu.

All the Anbu that saw the progress and innovation that Shin Senju was making had one thought, 'A true Genius.'

Shin was called to the Hokage's office.

"Hi Shin. I will be brief on why I called you in here. Due to your recent accomplishments in the spars, and in training, I have decided to make you a chunin without the test," Said Lord Third

"Thank you, Lord Third, I will make Konoha proud," replied Shin

Once Shin left, a man entered the room.

"I want him Hiruzen. I want him to be the successor to root," said Danzo

Lord Third's eyes grew cold.

"You will not touch that boy Danzo. If you do. I will end you," said Hiruzen

"Hmph" said Danzo

Danzo walked out of the room in a furious mood.

"My old friend, when did you go down this dark path," said Hiruzen with a sad tone to his voice.
