The Nightfall: She

"Who am I?" "Where do I come from?" "There are lots of questions in my mind, yet I couldn't find an answer. Though I know there is something hidden deep within me. The truth... behind those lies. Who really am I? All I know for now is... I am Yna. Even though someone familiar to me was calling me... Relyna."

Sixth Nightfall: The Kitchen

Yna woke up early the next day even though she just came back from the hospital yesterday she chooses to go up early. She went straight at the kitchen and immediately approaches Nana Ciello who's already busy at her choirs.

"Good morning," she greeted lively.

"Yna, why are you here?"

"I'm here to help."

"You supposed to be resting."

"But I'm fine already."

"You aren't, so--"

"Sorry to interrupt." Samara suddenly pops from nowhere. "Ma'am Jenica looking for you."

"Alright," Ciello answered before looking back at her. "No more complains, you still need to take a rest. Samara, bring her back to her room first before you go back to your work." she ordered before living them.

Yna sighs heavily. "What is it?" she asked Samara as she felt her intense glaring.

"It isn't good if someone would see you being with 'him'," Samara said out of the blue, she even emphasize the word him as if she saw something that she shouldn't.

"What are you talking about?" she said trying to avoid what Samara means.

"You know what I mean, so if I were you, you better end it. It won't help you if you pursue to be with him. You two will never get it through." Samara said before she guides her back to her room silently.

… … …

Last night being with Yna is the most memorable time for Carl Vincent and for just a short time, he finally let their hearts sync as one. Though, it would not be enough, he had to do something to be with her no matter what it takes.

"Carl, you should really talk to your father." Jefferson suddenly interrupts him.

"I know if it isn't about the rules and tradition of the Council's it will be easy to break the agreement."

"Though you were given a chance to choose before and yet, it took you so long before you decide. That is why, if you wish to break the agreement you made with the Crimson Family. You shall at least talk to your father first and asks him for some help because it will be better to break the engagement together with your father."

Carl Vincent just quietly listen and breathes deeply as he thinks about the things he shall do in order to finally follow his heart's desires.

… … …

The wind blows strongly towards Yna, it flew away her crystal black hair as she walks towards into the woods. When suddenly, she felt that she is not alone anymore and it made her to stop walking.

"I didn't wish you to be part of my life, but things happens unexpectedly." she stated first.

"It is," Carl Vincent agreed. "And I do wish to be part of your life, Yna. And I also wish that I can be with you right away. If only..." then sighs.

Yna tightly closes her eyes while forcing herself not to run by his side. "Please, Vince, stop! I beg you."

"I already got a plan and I am ready to--"

"Stop!" she said it out loud. "Don't ever do any reckless decision I beg you."

"It isn't reckless." he answered. "I..." he was about to come closer to her when someone came out of nowhere.

"Sa-Samara?" Yna got surprised seeing her coming out of the blue.

"Nana Ciello was looking for you." She simply stated without any emotions.

"I--"

"You have to go." Samara cuts her.

"Yna," she heard Carl Vincent called but she refuses to look back and just ignore him.

"I will live." she finally answered without ending her conversation with him.

... ... ...

"Stay away from her," Samara suddenly blocks his way from Yna.

"What?"

"You two doesn't have enough power and strength to fight the challenges you are about to face. You shall step back and let Yna go for now, until the two of you ready to face everything together." She seriously said and before he could answer she was gone.

"Carl?" Jefferson tops his shoulder. "Who's your talking to?"

"No one," he said. "What is it?"

Jefferson sighs. "Uncle is already looking for you."

"Alright, let's go."

… … …

That night, the Lodernbergh Family was invited for a dinner at the Crimson Mansion. Yna was assign to work at the kitchen and didn't allowed to be part of that dinner. She doesn't even allow getting some help from the other servants living her to do all choirs alone at the kitchen.

As Yna continues to work, she became too absorb that she didn't even notice that she was not alone anymore. Carl Vincent was there at the kitchen leaning against the door while watching her silently.

She heavily sighs. "Can you please, live me alone?" she pleaded after finding him out.

"I wanted to talk you."

"Didn't we just talk earlier?"

"We didn't finish anything."

"For me, it was done. So please, live me alone and--" she pauses when her knees felt weak and was about to fall when Carl Vincent came quickly to her side.

"Yna!" He called out. "You look so pale."

"I..." her eyes begins to blur then she suddenly feels light and dizzy until her sight blocks out.

… … …

"Yna! Yna! Wake up! Please! Wake up!"

Yna heard that someone repeatedly calling her name and as her senses coming back slowly. She felt a strong and warm arm folding into her while her head resting from a strong but comfortable chest. Then she heard it once again, that familiar voice and she already knew who it was.

"Vince," she whispered letting herself be folded from his embrace.

"Yna?" she just nodded since her strength isn't fully recovered. "Thank God, you're fine!" Carl Vincent said while hugging her.

'It feels so save within his embrace.' she silently told to herself. 'How I wish we could stay like this forever...' she added while letting her heart be fulfilled with his warm embrace. Though, she knew this will end, so she decided to stay in his arms for the last time.
