The silence inside the car was suffocating even with the window rolled all the way down. Min Hyun did not utter a single word since they left Gaehwa and Ah Yeon did not dare to speak as well. She did not know what to gather from that - she knew that deceiving him into meeting his mother was a rather risky and controversial thing to do, however, after that heart-to-heart talk they had several days ago, she was still expecting a somewhat positive outcome.
'Perhaps I was too rash, it was way too presumptuous of me to think that Min Hyun would welcome this idea with open arms.'
Min Hyun's silent protest continued the whole trip back to his house. Ah Yeon could not tell whether he was still angry or upset, his expressionless face was impossible to read, and even though she really wanted to talk to him, none of the words that came to her mind seemed right, and in the end, she decided to abandon that idea altogether.
