It doesn't take long for that to change, however. There seems to be two cats on my bed, or at least, two warm, furry lumps settled near my feet. Scrubbing my eyes and sitting up with a yawn, I look down to see Lolita sitting calmly at my left, and on my right a large raccoon, who is just chilling at my feet. After a few seconds of digesting the idea of a raccoon in my bed, I choose to slowly (slowly) move out of bed. At which point the raccoon and Lolita both move to the warm spot where I had just been laying. And they don't fight over it. So apparently the raccoon passes Lolita's vibe check, which is frankly enough for me. I really do not need this in my life, so the raccoon is now Lolita's problem, and since everything is fine there, I just have a raccoon now.
So I have a raccoon. That happened.
Not sure quite how. I assume it snuck in through my window with Lolita. It's super cute that she made a friend while I was gone though, even if it is a trash panda that smells worse than a rotting corpse. Which is truly nasty to think about, and I wish I didn't know what either of those smelt like. Only one of which is a hazard of my volunteer work as a vigilante. Gross- I will pass on smelling like a raccoon today, so I decide to shower before I get dressed. Not long later, I return to my room much cleaner, seeing Lolita and that raccoon both sitting very happily on my bed, and adorably too. I think I'm keeping this raccoon now. I really don't know how to feel about it but I guess the raccoon is indeed a raccoon whether I like it or not. Of course, now I need to name my sort of pet raccoon.
I'm gonna name him Petr.
