The Dance

This week is gonna be one of the longest, there are gonna be many events in the castle and around the kingdom, just to get a husband for their dearest princess.

I came to see the flower for the last four days, but Jasper did not appear. I guess, he like anybody else, just does not really care about me. My thoughts are confusing me, "Why do I even care for someone that I just saw a couple of times!?" that is the only question in my mind and Ofelia is starting so suspect something is happening to me.

For this first day of the week, my parents decided to prepare a dance, so I can decide who I feel the most attracted to.

I asked Ofelia to help me get ready for the dance, I like her since she always says that my hair looks like nature, green as the grass, green like all those trees around the kingdom and around the world. She also says that I have the most beautiful eyes since they are brown but they are still kind scary because people say they look red sometimes. Ofelia is the only person I care about because she cares about me, and demonstrates more love, even more than my mom.

This dance is gonna decide my future, nothing that I really care about, but it is a little bit annoying. I just wanted to see Jasper before this dance because I feel even better when I am with him, he is like my Ofelia, but from a different perspective. But even if I feel the same there is only one difference, Ofelia always says that I need to be careful when it comes to guys because I am a princess and they can look only for more power.

I am here in the big dance, everyone is giving a good vibe and for some reason, I feel peaceful. I started thinking that I am wrong to think not to married a man that I do not even know.

I have to dance with every prince inside of the palace, and the next days they are gonna have to show their capacity and strength. At the end of the week, I should choose a husband.

I am dancing with prince Long from Labral kingdom, he seems to be really nice and maybe he could be a good husband. But he would not be my first option. The next dance is gonna be with prince Ester from Fend kingdom, but he is so creepy and I am not sure, he always seems to be thinking about some really pervert imagination. However, he is from a real strong kingdom, but not as strong as Winny's kingdom. All princes are almost my age, except Winny, he is 22. Winny is kind of tall, he is one of the most charming princes that are around the 5 kingdoms. Winny is my father's first option, but sometimes I feel my father still hides something, since Jasper said he was from a different kingdom that I've never heard before, did he lied to me?

Indeed, the fourth kingdom belongs to James, he is not really handsome but his kingdom is a big source of income and resources, his kingdom provides the most important materials, so its name Maqor. The word Maqor comes from an ancient language and it is write down different than its pronunciation מָקוֹר and it means source.

By the way, the fifth kingdom has the reason why my father cannot decide between kingdoms, and it is science. It belongs to Blake, I heard his family was part of Maqor kingdom, but they refused to stay under its power, so they decided to create an independent kingdom. My father says there are a lot of independent kingdoms, but not all of them get really big progress and usually they come back into the other kingdoms. Blake owns the Blank kingdom, they say it is a proper name for something really hard to explain because science is never something you end up learning about.

Even in the middle of the dance, I cannot stop asking myself "why did he never appear back again?" and also I decided that I should just ask my father about Idris kingdom. But just when I was about to ask him, my knights open the palace's doors and said

"We are sorry to interrupt the dance, but we are following orders, our majesty"

I did not understood.

"We should present king Zev and prince Jasper from Idris kingdom"

and he was there, walking through my palace with his smile, those bright eyes, the red hair that if you pay attention it is also white, but under my palace's lights, it made it looked pink.

But my father just asked "Oh! so, is this an independent new kingdom?"

king Zev smile and politely replied " It is, our majesty"

I could see my father's eyes full of questions, but he just inquires "Would you explain your kingdom's?"

I was so nervous, I looked at my father and then I looked at Zev king, Jasper just seemed to be used to it or if he did not really care at all, but he looked at me and smiled at me.

King Zev started to explain and said his kingdom posses Magic, as it was expected it, everyone inside the palace laughed. But they did not seem to be annoyed by it, I guess they are already used to it. I thought to do something before my father made the order to kick them out, so I just stand and asked "Would you make a demonstration for us?"

My father grabbed my arm and said "What do you think are you doing? You are not supposed to do this" of course this really masculine figure in the castle its what annoys me so much, because in my kingdom there are no rights for the girls, everything is managed by men, by the King, I could say even the knights have a more important position than me. I pulled my arm off and reply to my father "Oh dear father, we cannot have a bad image in front of all the most important five kingdoms, we should demonstrate why we have the strongest warriors, and the most important people, Do not we?" I could see my father's eyes telling me "F**k You" but he just said, "That is why my kingdom has the most intelligent and strong people, a king also has to show a real clever princess, so, May you show Magic to us?"

I knew he would do something to me later and put me under a punishment, just because I talked, but I did not care, anything to protect Jasper.

The king asked Jasper to do it, and he showed a regular trick, but it did not seem to be enough for anybody. Just until James asked Jasper to turn a little piece of rock into gold, of course, sources boy. Jasper said "I might demonstrate my magic by alchemy" Blake responded "I am sorry to interrupt but alchemy does not exist, so my kingdom decided to relate it with chemistry" Jasper just smiled and asked, "May I do my demonstration?" Blake got annoyed by his question but he just steps back.
