Premonition

"L-Luke?"

Remembering the name sent a throbbing pain in her chest.

"Ah!"

Persephone collapsed on the floor while clutching her heart.

Tears began to pour down her face, as she wailed in pain.

Helios and Hermes instantly stopped and looked at her in panic.

"Madam Persephone! Are you okay!"

"No shit Hermes! Look at her, she looks like she's dying!"

"What else was I supposed to say?! 'Madam you like your fucking dying!?'"

"Why you!"

Before the two can escalate, Persephone slowly stands up and says.

"Ugh… guys, can you be quiet?"

"U-Uh apologies for my idiotic brother's tendencies."

"W-Wha- I mean, I'm sorry Lady Persephone."

The two bowed their heads as Persephone calmed herself.

Her face looked pale and gloomy, but they couldn't say anything if it meant to offend her.

"Hahh, it's fine. I just… remembered something painful."

Helios looked at her with a wry smile, then said.

"A-Alright, but are you sure you're fine? Should we even continue?"

"Un just forget what happened, and please continue ."

"Phew* Okay, um, so that basically sums up everything you mainly need to do.

But there are some things you need to keep in mind."

Hermes with sweat covering his face from nervousness, took out a small pouch from his waist.

Reaching his hand he fiddled around before taking out a key.

The shape was weird yet the translucent appearance made it look unique.

"Here madam, this is a special skeleton key. Although the dungeons are made by Daedalus and Hephaestus, They kept some things hidden inside, things like traps, secret rooms, or even pocket dimensions."

Persephone looked at the key with a questioning look and said.

"Why would they add something like that?"

"We're not sure. But they gave us these keys in case we came across them.

They said that as soon as we came across rooms like those, we could use this key and imbue some magic in it."

Helios waved his hand around and magic poured out his fingers, forming a door on top of his hand.

"A door like this will appear and you can leave the Labyrinth entirely."

Persephone stood there while observing the key and the door.

The weird shape of the key reminded her of something in one of her dreams.

'This looked like what Luke used… is he a dungeon master as well?'

"Hmm, okay. Is that everything I need to know?"

"Well, we gave you the basic things to know, but once you step inside, the Labyrinth will automatically transmit everything else in your mind directly."

Persephone had her eyes wide open, as curiosity and excitement filled them amiably.

She still looked despondent, but hearing about the cool things in the Labyrinth was enough for her to forget about the pain from earlier.

"It seems your, done Persephone."

Demeter stood behind her, a neutral look on her face, but inside she was deeply worried about her considering how loud her daughter screamed.

Despite disappearing from before, she didn't go anywhere but instead turned herself invisible.

She wouldn't let the two sons of Zeus stay alone with her daughter, after all, she knows how cunning and sneaky Zeus can be.

"Mother!"

As if forgetting about the look her mother gave her, Persephone called out to her mother in excitement and wrapped her arms around her in a loving embrace.

"Thank you, thank you so much for letting me do this.

I know how much you want to protect me, but I'm old enough to keep myself safe.

You also taught me everything I needed to know, so I'll be fine by myself Mother."

The two gods watched the two awkwardly before turning their heads away.

Although deep inside they were jealous of how close the mother and child were.

With how their father treats them like servants, they still yearn for a parent's love.

Their mother still loves them of course, but the strength of her love seemed to differ from Demeter's.

"Seph… Hahh."

The ancient goddess sighed as she patted her daughter's head.

"I… I taught you everything you needed to know, not everything that I know. So there's still more for you to learn.

But.. I suppose this will do for now.

And I know you're excited but please remember that your safety is the most important thing."

"Yes yes, mother. I know."

Demeter couldn't help but still be worried about her.

Her instincts have been telling her that something amiss was still going on.

But looking at her daughter she can't help but ignore it.

"Fine… but I still need to talk to you."

Persephone shook visibly as she buried her face in her mother's abdomen.

She nodded her head pushing the large mountains of her mother's up and down juggling respectively.

The two gods with their eyes still averted luckily didn't peek, otherwise a different prophecy would begin with their deaths being the first.

Demeter feeling somewhat empty knowing her daughter will no longer be with her, called the two.

"Hermes, Helios."

"U-Uh yes, Lady Spring!" X2

"You can leave now, and tell your father that I will also help overseer the labyrinths."

"Gulp* Y-Yes, Madam."

"Now leave."

The two bowed their heads before disappearing.

Helios turned into a ball of light and flew into the sky while Hermes left a trail of lightning behind him.

"Alright, you and I have a long conversation, young lady.

Remind me the first time you left the island.

Was it 378 years ago?"

"Gulp*"

"Or 412?"

————

After being berated by her mother Persephone was reluctantly allowed to go to the Labyrinth.

Of course, her mother cast a few other spells just to make sure as well as give her a few items that can transport her back on the island.

Finally, after a few days of getting prepped up by her mother, Persephone made it to a large tower.

"Woah."

She looked up to see the top, but even with her eyesight which she trained with magic for decades, she still couldn't make of the limit of the tower.

"Pretty cool right?"

A voice called out nearby and leaning by the entrance was Peter, wearing the same black robe from the day they first met.

"Oh hey, Peter!"

"Oh ho, it seems this little lady is excited for her first job."

"Yup, I'm finally allowed to do something that I want to do, so of course I'll be excited."

"I see I see, well I have a few things to say before you head inside."

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Well, 1 is you should still be careful when inside. I'm sure Hermes and Helios told you already, but despite the Labyrinths being ours, the ones who made them, hid some traps in there."

"Yeah, I know. Hermes already gave me the key."

Persephone showed him the translucent key and twirled it around her finger.

"Alright alright, I just wanted to warn ya. Just to make sure ya know?

Okay and number 2, be wary of other gods. Sometimes the labyrinths connect in special floors, and in some cases, other labyrinths from the other pantheons will be together, so their gods can cause a bit of trouble to you."

"Yes yes, I've already been told."

"Hmm okay. Then number 3."

Peter walked toward Persephone, now a step between them.

He gave her a warm smile while taking out a gold ring and said.

"If you ever need my help, just take this ring off your finger and I'll be there before you know it."

Peter handed her the golden ring with a beautiful engraving etched on the outside spelling out her name.

Persephone looked at the gold ring with a twinkle in her eyes and said.

"Really?! Thank you, Peter! And thank you for changing my life!"

Persephone hugged him her arms wrapping around his waist.

Peter kept his head up and smiled, his eyes shaped like a crescent moon.

He reciprocated her hug by wrapping his arms around her waist and back, slowly moving his hands down to her buttocks.

But as he was about to reach down, Persephone pulled away from him, as discomfort was shown on her face.

"I-I. Sorry, I think I should go."

Peter looked at her, his eyes warm, but his pupils cold.

"Of course. Sorry for holding you back a bit."

"Oh, no worries. But again thank you for your gift! I guess I owe you now."

"Hmm, I guess you do."

"Alright bye!"

"Un, See ya."

Peter waved at her and watched her open the doors before stepping inside.

A maniacal laugh soon echoed around the forest surrounding the massive tower.

"Ha… Haha… Hahahaha. You'll be mine Persephone. With that ring, you'll slowly feel your lust lose control. And before you know it… I'll have you begging for my cock~ Hehehe."
