　　"Your boyfriend is fairing pretty well out there. But don't worry you'll both still die. After I kill you I'll go after Ashley. I know that whore escaped. I never thought of her as weak but that open window says different," Devin said, twirling the gun around his fingers.

　　"You know, I've never liked either of you. You were too innocent and she was too slutty. You know I used to wonder what my mate would be like when I found her. If I would have to kill her because she wasn't worthy of being with me. You see, unlike Luca I wouldn't accept just any bitch as my mate," he said smirking.

　　"You're crazy. I feel sorry for any woman that would end up as your mate," I said out of breath.

　　"Now that's not very nice Maxine. As your alpha I would think you would give me more respect. Shame on you. Now there must be some punishment for insulting me, but what?" he cocked his head to the side and put his finger to his chin in thinking gesture.
