"What do you mean it won't last?" Maxine said outraged.
"Since you're his true mate it must mean I have alpha blood. Luca will have to make a choice to be with you or continue his line with me."
"Not necessarily," said Elder John. My head snapped to him so fast I thought I would give myself whiplash. Maybe there was hope after all.
"You most certainly should possess the alpha blood but there is a chance she may as well."
"How can that be?" I asked excitedly.
"Well it is rare but there have been times when both females have held the alpha blood. The reason is because it so crucial for the line to continue in some cases that no matter which female is chosen it is guaranteed," he explained.
"Well how do we know if Maxine carries alpha blood. Would our wolves be able to tell us?" I asked.
