If left alone, Earth would continue to deteriorate and die. Then, these mecha alien species would abandon Earth and find another planet to sustain themselves, killing the lifeforms there in the process.
Alice's finger drummed against the surface of the desk.
Out of all the many Awakeners, why had none of them reported back? And the remaining five…
"Alice?"
Alice woke up from her stupor. She looked over her shoulder to see Michael and Lance, all dressed up in white shirts and green army pants, just like her.
"Let's go."
They were about to reach the door when both Alice and Lance's system alerted.
[Another Awakener is nearby, please hurry and get out of this room.]
Lance immediately sprinted into action. He grabbed Alice and Michael to run towards the elevator. With his keen senses, he knew the said 'Awakener' was at the staircase, trying to come up to this floor.
