I dialed Miranda's cell and waited impatiently for her to answer. I was at my hotel, having a drink at the bar. Finally, she answered on the third ring.
"Good evening mr. Keller." she quipped in that annoying little voice of hers. Mousy little thing. I would have fired her a long time ago, if she had wasn't so damn good at her job.
"Miranda. I expect you to answer the fucking second I call."
"I'm sorry sir. My phone was in my purse."
"How was she today? Juniper."
"I handed her the paperwork like you asked. She seemed hell bent on learning everything today."
"That's impossible," I scoffed.
"She hired a secretary in the afternoon." She informed me. "I passed through the door a few times and could see them going through the paperwork together."
"Good job."
"Thanks mr. Keller."
