Chapter 4 Prince Xavier 2

The training between Elvis and Joseph ended and they all went their seperate ways.it was evening and the sun had gone down,Xavier was walking at the back of the Castle and any time he passed by the maids always bowed and greeted him.

He was used to this kind of treatment so it didn't get to his head at all.He saw kids his age, some younger and some older working hard without rest, although he was an arrogant prince he had conscience and felt pity.

'How would people give away their kids to become maids?'He wondered.

Athena who was carrying a tray of hot tea walked towards the same direction the young prince was coming from,she wasn't paying attention and her focus was behind her.

"Ok madam,I will do th..."A loud clang was heard,she had accidentally bumped into the prince and spilled the hot tea on his clothes,the tray dropped on her foot and she winced in pain,the tea pot also broke and she stepped on a piece despite wearing sandals she still felt the sharp pain.

"Owwww"She cried out in pain before her gaze travelled to the person Infront of her.

"Are you mad,can't you watch where you are going,do you know how much this costs?!"Xavier yelled wiping away the stains.He looked up and as soon as his eyes bothered with hers he froze in place instantly,he didn't get to see her face clearly because she immediately turned and ran away without apologizing.

"And you're running!?"He yelled behind her.she was running in a funny manner maybe because her foot hurt.The maids ran to him and grabbed him trying to wipe away the stains and checking if he was alright, making him unable to run after her and loosing sight of her.

"Let go of me!!"He yelled with a shrug and they instantly left him,he kept looking in the direction where the girl had ran, but it was too late,she had disappeared into thin air.

he matched back to the palace angrily and walked towards the huge bronze doors,he barged into the throne room where the higher-ups were having their discussions, including the general and some other important people whose gaze fell on him.

"Your maids,a girl spilled hot tea on me,is that how you train your maids?!"Xavier asked rudely.

"Come on now young Prince,am sure it was an accident she obviously didn't mean it,who would dare in their right mind spill hot tea on you!"General K said trying to ease the prince's anger.

"I thought so to,but she ran away without apologizing it made me think it was on purpose"Xavier said.

"Am sorry my prince,I assure you it won't happen again they don't know the rules so we'll teach them about it"General K said.

"You better do so"Xavier said sternly and left afterwards.

"Argh,that boy will be the one to kill me"King Aaron said massaging his temples and the people around laughed in astonishment.

Xavier went directly to the royal bathouse,he took of his clothes and soaked himself in the bathtub,his mind drifted back to the unidentified girl who spilled tea on him.

"Long blood red hair,pale skin,and silver eyes,I must find her"Xavier said.

Athena guilty conscience was dealing with her,she couldn't sleep and she thought she was going to get in trouble for spilling hot tea on the prince.Rose was sound asleep and Athena kept worrying about what tomorrow will bring if she got caught.

'Would they behead me...no I don't think they will am still to little to be beheaded...would they?'Her mind was restless and her heart thumped in her chest.

The next day,Athena was the first to wake up,well she didn't get enough sleep,she freshened up and got dressed in her uniform and went directly to madam Lisa hoping she would be able to do something that will lead her further away from the maid quarters.

"Good morning Madam Lisa."Athena greeted as she watched Madam Lisa bake cookies.

"Athena ,you're up early,how was your night?"Madam Lisa asked.

"Sleepless"Athena said.

"Sleepless,Why?"madam Lisa asked.

"I kept about the punishment I'll get for accidentally spilling tea on the the young prince." Athena said with a pout.

"Haha,you are really something Athena."Madam Lisa said while laughing.

"Am serious,you should have seen his face,he was so angry." Athena said.

"Well,he is a temperamatic little prince"Madam Lisa said.

"Mmm,smells delicious"Athena said when the scent of the cookies in the heat oven wift pass her nose.

"Here take some"Madam Lisa said and gave Athena some cookies.

"Madam Lisa!?"Prince Joseph called and She answered while rubbing her hands on the dish towels.

"I need your help Athena,I need you to take this tray of cookies to the young prince and also this milk,he's at the swing in the garden."

"But madam Lisa I just told you I was trying to avoid him and why is he awake by this time?"Athena cried out.

"Am sorry my dear, but I can't do two things at once,I would need an extra hand,also I have a feeling you would be a good influence on him."Madam Lisa said before leaving.

Athena frowned,she took the tray of cookies and milk in her hand and walked to the garden,she kept mumbling until she reached the garden.She saw the young prince seated there and jotting something down.

She tip-toed over to the swing and placed the tray down on the log right next to the swing and turned to leave.

"Wait,how do you spell swordsmanship?"Prince Xavier asked without shifting his gaze to who he was speaking to thinking it was Madam Lisa.

"S.W.O.R.D.S.M.A.N.S.H.I.P"She spelt it fluently after biting her lips and frowning hard.Xavier turned his gaze to her after noticing the tiny adorable voice,he had thought it was a much older maid Madam Lisa perhaps but he didn't expect a little girl who looked two years younger than he was.He creased his brows scanning her features from behind since her back was turned to him.

'Long wavy red hair,pale white skin 'He said inwardly and his eyes shone,he immediately jumped off the swing and Athena realizing he was about to catch her ran around the garden with him chasing her nonstop.

"Hey it's you!!"Xavier yelled,he finally caught up with her and pounced on her as they both fell and rolled down the garden on the green grass.She was lying under him with him on top of her and their faces were really close.

"Am sorry,I didn't mean to spill the tea on you it was an accident,I ran away because I was scared of what you and the king might do to me, please let me go it won't happen again."Athena begged with eyes closed but when she didn't hear a reply she slowly opened her eyes and saw a pair of ocean blue eyes staring intently at her.There was silence between them until Xavier broke the silence.

"Pretty"He said and still laid on her with no intention of moving.

"Can you please get of me Prince"she said underneath him.

"No,this is your punishment "Xavier said.

"For what"she asked.

"Spilling hot tea on my prescious body and making royalty fall on the filthy ground."Xavier said.

"Really,this is my punishment?"She said with a smile revealing her cute dimples.

"Don't stop smiling,it's also your punishment to"he said.

"Huh why"

"You're by far the most prettiest girl I have ever seen."He said and a blush crept on Athena's face.She still tried hard to maintain her smile until her mouth became sour and started trembling,the Prince was still looking at her intently as if analysing her facial features.

Someone coughed behind them they hastily got up seeing Madam Lisa standing behind them.

"I told you to serve the Prince his breakfast not lay on the floor"Madam Lisa said removing the dust off the prince's cloth.

"Am sorry Madam,but I fell and...and he also fell...I told him to...no I begged him to..."

"I was punishing her Madam Lisa"Prince Xavier said with a smile.watching the two kids bicker like that made the head maid laugh inwardly.she knew Athena's good nature will rub off on him.

Athena walked away dusting her clothes with a frown on her face,she never wanted to get in trouble and most especially with the head maid but this silly Prince made that happen.

"Madam Lisa,where did that pretty young maid come from?"Xavier asked still looking at the empty space where Athena left from.

"You should eat your breakfast young prince before it gets cold."Madam Lisa said and then turned to leave with a smile on her face.
