"Transmit data of experiment 443 over to the meta bay. Analyze patient composition and materialize opposing physical structure."
Miranda flickered into existence beside the scientist and nodded. Several displays flashed by her face, and over the course of less than a minute she waved her hand, sending a glimmering screen over in front of his face.
"I see…it isn't just merely molecular deviations, or rather mutations…it is as if it is like the laws of those other universes…strange…" He muttered to himself as his mind created several images, and with a wave of his hand the air distorted scattering the thoughts from his mind.
"Are you alright sir?" Miranda asked silently, noticing his silent contemplation.
"Ah…yes Miranda, it's just that my mind seems incapable of processing these…abstract concepts."
"Sir, maybe we should categorize these factors in a round about way? Just because we can't create an equation with a final truth or answer, doesn't mean we can't make the equation itself…even if, made up of merely variables."
He nodded, while his hands fidgeted with a thin silver piece of metal. It whirled in his hands and distorted the air, as if the raw power and speed of the motions were defiant of capable reasoning. This of course was trivial, for him he had long ago found he was almighty in strength and intelligence. Several millennia had already passed since the planet he once knew succumbed to its own devious politics and self-destruction.
Since that time, he had studied every aspect of humanity left behind and mastered all forms of knowledge that humans had delved in. With a mind as intelligent as his, he had both exceeded and delved far deeper then what any amount of humans could have achieved in tens of thousands of years.
However, recent developments stumped even his great mind. The development that did so, was the finding of magic and unknown energies.
Not long into his ventures into many planes, he had come across strange occurrences. Not unlike alien life, or strange creatures and beasts, no what he had found was that some groups were capable of great feats of nature.
It all started when he came across the 443 universe of his travels.

"Miranda scan surrounding structures and signs of life…" The scientist, or rather Sci as Miranda liked to call him, asked out into the open air.
"Yes sir…" A minute ticked by, and then a large map appeared before his eyes with countless glowing lights across its structure.
"Fascinating…coming across another large planet of what seems to be…a billion miles in circumference, fascinating…for a planet like this to exist the amount of spacial variables would be astronomical. The space is very stable here…hmm…"
Miranda, and James the other AI that Sci had kept, had great fundamental changes in their capabilities over the last hundreds of years. In fact Sci spent exactly 156 years, 347 days, and 22 hours on their greater technological development. Miranda's main body that was latched onto Sci's was made up of countless high tech nanobot. Each nanobot had the ability to change their molecular structure and store vast amounts of data. Thus, by reconfiguring them she could scan this entire planet with ease.
This wasn't even considering the station back on the main universe he had built, where all sorts of miracle creations and designs layed. This was merely her mobile form.
On the side of the map were many numbers, from the 79% water composition of the planet, or the 49% ice of the upper and lower poles of the planet. Following these percentages, were a vast amount of 'Peak interests' for him to look into. This could be radioactive material, strange phenomena, unseen portions of the planet that she was incapable of scanning or unknown materials or beings.
The countless flickering lights were all the lifeforms currently inhabiting the planet, the north continent seemed to have a large centralization of dots and this most likely meant it was a city. What struck him as odd, was that the city was more 100,000 miles in width and length. This meant a vast civilization and yet no profound technological devices were scanned in any point of this planet.
This meant that somehow a vast civilization was built off of a different core development. In the south, there were other cities dotting across its region. Each at its largest, 50,000 miles wide or in other strange shapes.
The tallest mountains were several thousands of miles tall if you discounted the tens of thousands from land line to ocean surface just at the edge of each continent.
A truly vast world.
"Miranda…make a new case file, name this planet "Myriad", a very befitting name of a planet of wondrous and unknown proportions."
"Right away sir…file has been created…moving all analyzed and decoded information to file 'Myriad'"
Sci looked around, taking in every detail with his piercing gaze. With a wave of his hand his body disappeared into thin air as several lifeforms flew towards his direction.
"Sir unknown propulsion and emission of energy detected from several lifeforms. Energy is stable, and within the regions of a nuclear reactors output. No clear conclusion can be diagnosed."
"Sir…the anomaly of space was detected in this region, but there are no spacial gates…" A man with long eyebrows and beards spoke respectfully while floating in the air next to several other individuals.
One of the several individuals nodded in contemplation, "Strange…it was very stable gates as well… give me a second, izael come forth and scan the area with your mind's eye technique"
Words were slowly decoded through Sci's mind, and their language was easily broken and understood. He was surprised at first, mostly at the mention of a technique then to their ability to fly. This simple phrase denoted the fact there was a structured understanding to these mysterious understandings.
In fact, this strangely reminded him of eastern fantasy stories of flying immortals.
Another man came forward and waved his hands, strange lights glimmered as countless fractal symbols flew around him before flying towards the middle of his forehead. A strange image of an eyeball slowly floated out from his brows and above his head.
'Fascinating…' Sci couldn't help but tsk within his mind silently.
Miranda's voice rang out in his mind, "Sir strange energy particles are pervaded the air from that eyeball as a source…I believe we are incapable of hiding ourselves from their detection."
'This is also fine Miranda…the invisiblity cloak, is merely a technology to hide all traces of my being. From heat, sound, to even molecules…I want to see if he can still detect me…that would open the door to many things if he could…for if he could, that would only leave the trace of a soul. If he finds me, this means that the soul exists!'
'That conclusion can indeed be drawn…' Even Miranda was awaiting these strange particles, she too was by now an advanced intelligence and had her own pursuits and goals.
"There…" The man pointed to empty space with his fingers, while his eyes slowly opened back up.
"Come forth now being…" The lead man called, as the rest of the people began weaving energy within their hands. Some had flames and fire dancing around their bodies, others seemingly congealed water and air from nothing as air stirred around their existence.
"Fascinating!" A voice rang out in their ears while a man stepped forth from thin air.
"Who are you…what plane do you come from" The lead man asked straight forwardly.
The man on the ground seemed to mull over several things, as if finding the ways to speak in their language properly based off of their own.
"I come from a distant universe…my people were wiped out, as I am the last I have searched many universes and many other planes to find other sentient life. Forgive me for my apprehension, for a do not know you…or of this world."
His voice was very amiable, and for some reason all the people who heard him felt the mysterious man was profoundly intelligent. This was a given, as with their ability towards energy their understanding of the mind and soul was also great.
"Mmm…" The lead man waved his hands to the others, who dropped their offensive stances.
"What is your name…?" He asked as his arms casually went behind his back, he was quite curious of this mysterious man.
"I am…The Man Immortal"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From the moment Sci stepped forth into the plane he began an arduous journey of understanding.
He came to understand everyone in this plane organic or inorganic was created or born with a tie to a certain 'Element' and with enough accumulated even an inorganic object could gain sentient life. This was a profound and yet ethereal finding.
It in context, was like the big bang that had created his universe. In theory, it meant that every thing that ever came to be within the existence of that universe had a tie to the same source. Thus, when this plane was created or born they too being drawn from the same source had this tie with energy. It was the same occurrence, and yet had another ingredient which changed the foundation of everything thus created later.
It seemed as well that not all things shared the same commonalities in their tie to energy, although somehow there was indeed a system to it even at a genetic level.
9 elements which consisted of Earth, water, fire, air, lightning, metal, nature, darkness and light at its origin. Yet, also ethereal things like destruction, creation, and stagnation as well existed around these like ying and yang.
Relating these to books of fantasy from his world, it seemed like a fantasy made real.
Each of these elements could be passed down, and yet merged. When a parent of earth and a parent of fire birthed a child it had 3 distinct possibilities.
Being born with a new affinity after the combinance of these elements, such as lava, or other things.
The second, was that they were born with both but the energies could never interact at a fundamental level.
Finally third, they were born with it either merged and unmerged and could later separate or combine them.
"Miranda create a sub-file with these basic fundamentals within it…secondly, within that file note the elements of origin."
A flickering being jumped from his person and floated next to him. Several eyes danced over to her coming into existence with astounded gazes.
"Is she your spirit…no…that wouldn't make sense…you aren't from this plane so that is impossible. I sense no spiritual essence from her, so she isn't a spirit either…what is she?" A tall and handsome male in elder attire asked from across a table from Sci.
"In my plane…we have a branch of subjects called sciences, or technology in a sense…I will not disclose what she is, as I do not want to affect your world in any way just merely understand it."
"True words from a scientist…haha" A woman smirked at him. Sci was truly immortal, and could take on any age in looks he decided. The cells within his body perfected his being, and thus to even the males in the room he was the most handsome man they had ever seen. For the women, he was an angel.
Sci didn't care for these things though, he had long forgotten the era of love.
"It is alright…you have quite the knack of understanding, it truly shows with your advanced mind Sci…is your true purpose of coming to this plane only to understand?" The leader from before asked him, looking past the illusion of Miranda.
"Yes… if so be it, I shall leave after understanding this plane. I don't wish to change or harm anything I promise…" Sci wouldn't tell him he had made countless experiments on other life forms, even in his world it was immoral to experiment on life. Yet, those creatures and beings weren't from his plane and most importantly no life was left to have morals. Just Sci, but he still had a bottom line even after all this time.
Science, understanding, and the pursuit of all things.
"Beyond the elements is a more even obtruse concept…vessels" The man finally spoke up after drinking some tea a servant had brought in.
These men and women before Sci were some of the greatest minds and the peak users to each of their specific elements. They were known as the Elders of the Mega city, and were amongst the first to discover magic from a source in the world. This broke the big bang theory Sci had mulling, because it meant this energy was non without origin but it was truly mysterious in its changing of the fabric of space.
Even if he could replicate this process in his own universe, it may stop the mutations.
Regardless, Sci drank some tea along with the man and nodded "What are vessels?"
"Vessels break down the system of elements further in a sense…there is the mind, body, and spirit as we have denoted each of them for the purpose of their semblance towards the way energy works through individuals.
Mind vessels would be the equivalent to telekinetic manipulation of elements and energies relating to the person affinity.
Body vessels would be manipulators with their bodies as the fulcrum, the stronger the body the stronger the manipulation. They can intergrate their elements into their bodies, and become one with the elements.
For spirit vessels its quite different, you are born with a spirit relating to your affinity…for example, if you have a water affinity you can be born with the spirit of a fish."
"That…is very fascinating" While these words were being spoken Miranda was of course filing it all away.
"However…everything has both its negative and positive relations. Such, that even within these vessels are two distinct further things….Indo, and Exo."
Sci had an inkling, "I am guessing that indo is related to internal structuring for the energy and exo being an outer manifestation or control of that very same energy?"
The man nodded with a grin, "Yes…you truly are smart Mr. Immortal. For that same example of the fish spirit vessel, if it was indo spirit then that person could take on the physical or ethereal traits of the fish….an example of this would be gills, now however if it was an exo spirit vessel of the same type they would summon a fish instead."
"I see…so if it was a wolf indo it would allow the user an abrupt physical change to there physical nature with the spirit as a catalyst…thus allowing them to become a werewolf. The versa would be to summon a wolf…"
Miranda who was standing next to him was tapping on the air, unknown to them recording down Sci's words.
"Yes…that is one way to put it…" The man looked at Miranda strangely but nodded.
"However…with the man over there with the spirit of an eye, is it that he is not powerful enough to extricate the rest of the being that the eye derives from or that the eyeball itself is the full manifestation?" Sci was quite curious about this, as it meant very specific things for the spirit field particularly.
The man he was speaking about gave him a glare but didn't speak up, allowing the smiling Leader to speak for him. Sci was a guest, so he wouldn't act out against him. He didn't have to say it in such a way though, but he understood the reasoning within the question.
"Hahaha…well indeed it is the full manifestation. Spirits don't just come within the form of beasts and creatures, of course they can be quite litterly energy or a substance…but it is different than that of a mind vessel user. As it's the amount they have a spirit that they can utilize rather then that of an environment. If they have a wash basin worth of water as a spirit, unless they train their spiritual force to greater heights they can only manipulate that much."
"I see…so there are also incorporeal designs to the spirits as well." Sci took in a breath.
"Yes…there are such things as tool like spirits, relating to swords or shields…or even ethereal things like words. The spiritual vessel field is the most mysterious, and even I nor they have a full understanding of it all…it seems tied to fate, chance, and yet some other design but in the end it is boundless."
"Miranda, establish a file with the three different subfiles for each vessel"
"Yes sir…" Miranda prodded at the air multiple times, and then rested her hands at her sides.
"Files…like paper files?" One of the women in the room asked.
Sci simply nodded but didn't answer her question.
The leader was still contemplating several things as Sci looked to be composing several questions to ask.
Chapters for this novel will not be exact, as it is merely a key and a story to coincide with every novel that I write. Ambiguous, but worth mentioning.
