The Old Matriarch

Su Luo moved away but Lu Shen quickly grabbed her waist. Under the beautiful chandelier, Su Luo became extremely radiant. Her beautiful brown eyes looked at Lu Shen with annoyance.

She would always bite her lower lip whenever she felt upset and she looked very cute when doing it.

Lu Shen bent his head down and raised up her chin. His voice became hoarse

"Come on, tell me"

Su Luo pushed him away and walked towards the door

"Where are you going?" Lu Shen asked.

"I'm leaving" Su Luo answered as she left the room. She ran down the stairs and walked out of the house. She turned around and saw that Lu Shen was not following her so she continued walking.

A man sat down in a dark room as his fingers flew across the keypad on his phone.

Suddenly, a number appeared on his screen.

"Yes"

"Sir...we have already received the B-C11678." the voice in the other end said.

"Good" the man said as he ended the call.

He walked out of the room as he swung his car keys merrily.

He got into his car and dialed a number.

"Meet me at the airport. We're going to X Country"

The man said as he drive off

Su Luo was now walking alone on the streets. After walking for about an hour, she realized she was always ending up in front of the gate. No matter which route she took, she would always end up in front of that gate. It didn't take long for her to realize that she had been moving around in circles. She let out a sigh of frustration. She finally stopped and sat on the ground.

Ever since she had been walking, she has not come in contact with a single soul. She rested her head on the wall and closed her eyes.

Images of what happened two years ago were still running through her mind. That night when the Old Matriarch was killed, Su Luo first went to the hospital where she learnt that she was pregnant.

She was about to leave the hospital when she received a call from the Old Matriarch. The Old Matriarch sounded very cold when she was talking to her on the phone which was very unusual.

When she got to the house, she saw Lu Ping sitting and having tea with his mother.

She greeted both of them with a smile but the Old Matriarch looked at her with unpleasantness. The next thing she knew, the Old Matriarch had given her a slap on her face. Lu Jing just sat down there drinking his tea without a care in the world.

"You vixen!" The Old Matriarch shouted.

"I should have known that it was too good to be true."

Su Luo was still confused. She didn't know what happened.

"Grandmother,...what are you talking about?"

"Having all these wealth isn'tenough for you. You still want the heavens along with it" The Old Matriarch said angrily.
