Chapter Four

I bathe, and change before heading into the kitchen for breakfast. “You're up late.” Agnes says, as I walk into the kitchen.

“Sorry I got home late.”

“Ah yes, I was already in bed by the time you got back. Did you find everything ok?” She asks.

“No I didn't find the Levisticum officiniale, and Armoracia rusticana. I was planning to head out later today to find them.”

“Ok make sure to eat first, I made some porridge for breakfast.”

“Yes I will, thank you.” I do as Agnes had asked of me, and eat a bowl of porridge for breakfast, after I clean my dish, before going on my way. I wandered around the forest for quite some time before finally finding the herbs that I had been looking for.

By the time I arrived back at the cottage it was mid-day. Once I got back Agnes and I ate supper. I then helped Agnes finish preparing the herbs, before once again trying to make the crescere potion.

I carefully mix the herbs together, before liquefying them. “Go ahead child, try it out.” Agnes says, encouraging me.

I take a deep breath before pouring the potion onto the decrepit plant. The plant soon begins to sprout up, and grow greenier. I had done it, it had come back to life!

“See I knew that you had it in you. ”
