A monster

Summer buried her face in her palms. She was lost in deep thoughts as tears fell freely from her eyes.

"Summer, you have a call from your father." Hazel said as she handed Summer the phone.

"Morning dad." She greeted.

"Morning pumpkin, how are you doing?" David asked.

"I am fine." Summer replied shortly.

"The nightmares? Are you still experiencing them?" David asked out of concern.

"No dad, I am…"

"That is totally a lie!" Hazel yelled as she snatched the phone from Summer.

"Hello uncle, Summer has been having nightmares for quite a long time now and the annoying part is that she refuses to she the therapist. She claims that she is alright." Hazel complained about her stubborn cousin.

"Give the phone back to Summer." David said with his deep masculine voice.

"Summer, I am working hard for us to get over the past yet you don't…"

"Dad, listen. These nightmares aren't just any nightmares, they are my memories dad. Memories that would forever hunt me. Not even the so called therapist can help me out with it. What exactly do you want? To forget that my mother was tortured and killed before me?" Summer asked with disgust in her tone.

"I would forever live with the memories dad so just forget it." Summer told him and she didn't even for for him to reply, she ended the call.

David quietly placed his phone on the table beside him and shoved his hand through his hair. A lone tear escaping his eyes.

Only if Helen was still alive. He could remember the day that Helen was laid to rest, his little six year old daughter walked up to him and said.

"Dad, if you ever catch those people that killed mom, don't kill them. Death is an easy escape for them because they wouldn't be able to feel the pain they put us through. We are going to torture them till they are begging for death."

David stilled upon hearing his six year old daughter. Where on earth did she get such a thought from? That was when he realised that she was worse than his father.

Summer threw the phone across the room carelessly, not caring where it landed.

"You know that this is the fifth phone you have spoilt in this month." Hazel reprimanded her but Summer did not give a damn.

She only stood up from the bed and took the keys to the motorcycle.

"Where are you going?" Hazel asked.

"None of your business." Summer replied without looking at Hazel.

She walked out of the big mansion to the garage where she went out with the power bike.

She drove carelessly not minding the vehicles on the road and those yelling at her.

Besides, her family runs this town so no one has the right to question her not even the police.

She drove into the woods where the family's base was located.

After driving for seemed to be like hours she arrived their base which was an impenetrable fortress.

She drove into the base without much questioning from the security officers because she was the boss' daughter.

She walked into the main building with her head up high. The security officers were aware of her presence as they admired her aura and body figure.

All the greetings from the soldiers fell on deaf ears as Summer did not bother to respond nor even glance at them.

She walked to the underground dungeon where Leo Spencer was kept. He was chained to the chairs and the cell bars had a heavy lock.

One of the soldiers opened the cell for her and she walked inside.

"Well well, look who we have here. The Barbie Princess of the Steele family." Leo taunted as usual.

"For someone who has been tortured for eight years now, you still have some guts to speak." Summer said as she sat on the stool available.

"And your wounds looks treated, I hope you are enjoying yourself here?" Summer asked.

"What do you and your pathetic father want?" Leo asked and a heavy slap landed in his face.

"The next time you refer to my father as pathetic, you wouldn't want to think about what I would do to you." Summer threatened him.

"You are worse than Daniel. You are a monster." Leo yelled.

"You made me the monster I am today, you took away my mom in my presence. Tell me why I wouldn't torture you?" Summer asked in annoyance.

"Then just kill me." Leo yelled.

"No, I won't." Summer replied calmly with a smirk on her face.

"I would not only torture you but I would f*cking torture your family in front of you. You would know how it feels to have your loved ones killed in your presence." Summer said as she brought out a gun from her waistband and fired him twice at his leg.

She walked closer to him and pulled him in his hair, making sure that he was looking at her straight in the eyes.

"I am out for all the Spencer family. I, Summer Eva Steele would end the race of the Spencer family. It is a promise." Summer told him and fired him at his hand again.

Leo groaned in pains as he looked into Summer's eyes.

"I know I have wronged you but please leave my family out of this, kill me instead." Leo pleaded earning a long laugh from Summer.

"That is not how I play my game Leo, it's an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." Summer paused and continued, "I would get you a doctor to treat you." Summer told him.

"No, I don't need a doctor, I want to die." Leo pleaded but it fell on deaf ears.

Summer made her way out of the dungeon, she met the general commander.

"Get a doctor for Leo." She ordered him and he knew not to disobey. She was more heartless than Daniel. He only prayed that she doesn't become the next Don of the family.

She made her way out with the air blowing her black hair backwards. A new determination in her eyes and that was to end anyone with the Spencer blood.
