"Shit, at this rate, I might actually die!!" Long Tian thought, beads of sweat dripping down from his forehead as he tightly clutched his spatial ring.

"I thought I'll use that 'thing' later... even if it's absolutely necessary and there's no way around but..."

"Hah! I guess I really need to use that 'thing' my predecessor received from his grandfather when he was really young... like when he was about 4-5." He sighed as he got ready to take out the artifact to save his sorry ass.

"Buhahahaha! Where's that fucking smirk, brat?"

"Weren't you acting all high and mighty and commanding those ants?"

"You scared for your life now?" The minotaur sneered at Long Tian, who had a guarded look on his face while sweat was dripping down from his forehead like a waterfall.

"What should I do....!!"

"Fuck it, I'm not gonna risk my most precious life just because of the greed of not wanting to use everything I have!" He thought as he made up his mind to use that "thing."

"I should stall for time because... it needs a moment to activate and these moments are crucial, and risky."

"Can't bet my life on it," he thought as he let out a deep breath, deciding to do something that might distract him.

He then puffed his chest out and spread out a long, evil grin from ear to ear, alerting the minotaur to think what made him so confident as he was just on the verge of dying from fear just a minute ago.

"Hahahaha! Bitch, how do you like that!?" Long Tian said in a mocking tone as he glanced behind the minotaur, who got even more alert.

"Don't try to fool me, kiddo! I won't fall for such tricks!" The minotaur decided not to fall for the trick that might let Long Tian slip out of his reach.

"Tsk tsk! Do you think I have the time and energy to entertain a lesser, disgusting being like you?"

"Like hell would I even have such thoughts!"

"I just thought of warning you and letting you run away because powerful experts of my clan are just right behind you!"

Hearing Long Tian's words, the minotaur got even more alert, as he knew that the guy in front of him was from a prominent and powerful family, and he thought that might be why Long Tian was becoming so increasingly confident.

"Fuck! Is it really true?" The minotaur got alert and... finally fell for the trick used by Long Tian as he looked behind abruptly.

"Now!!" Long Tian thought as he took out a yellow talisman that had some ancient Chinese words written on it.

As soon as he got it, he tore it apart before the minotaur could look back.

"How dare you trick me!! YOU FUCKING INSIGNIFICANT MORTAL!!" the minotaur roared, his roaring sound destroying the mountains that were just a few miles away.

"Heavenly thunder strike talisman!" But prior to the shouting and roaring of the minotaur, Long Tian had a calm and cold look on his face as he uttered those words.

"Huh! What's that? Your last words?" The minotaur, still unaware of the danger he had gotten himself into by looking back, had an angry and confused look on his stupid face.

As soon as Long Tian finished saying the mantra-like words, the sky got a bit dark, and then a huge thunderbolt made its way toward the minotaur, who sensed it.

"You fuck—!!! Aaaahhhhhhhh!!" he screamed. Even though he sensed it and tried to run away while cursing Long Tian, he couldn't do so as the thunder strike was much faster than he could ever be.

"Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" The minotaur screamed for his life, screaming with all his might, but his screams quickly died down as his body became a toast and his soul left the mortal world.

"Phew... even though it felt like a waste to use such an Immortal grade talisman that I had as a trump card... it's still worth it as no amount of treasures can equal my life." He let out a sigh of relief.

"Woaahhhh!!!!!"

"The young master really killed that monster yay!!!!"

"I knew it!! The young lord is mighty!!"

"KyaaAa! I wanna have his baby!!"

"He's so mighty—kyaaaa!!"

And as soon as the civilians and other cultivators sensed the battle ending and saw such a mighty thunder strike that they believed to be from Long Tian, they let out a damn too loud scream.

"Shut up!" Irritated and exhausted by the battle and the energy-draining thing he just did, he coldly scolded them, which made all of them silent, not a single soul willing to be the next to taste that overwhelmingly powerful thunder strike.

"But... how and why would these stupid beasts invade this city? After all these years..." Long Tian muttered as he had a thoughtful look on his face.

He then looked at the forest that the beasts came from and spread out his spiritual sense, which was long and powerful enough to scan the forest entirely within seconds.

"Damn! So these damned stupid beasts were trying to kill all the residents and cultivators of this city because they thought it was a threat to the spiritual mine that lies in the heart of the forest, huh!" Long Tian said in a surprised tone, seeing that spiritual mine.

"Well.... I should just tell father... it'll benefit me more than the spiritual mine anyway." He muttered as he flew away... and headed back to the Long family estate.

Inside the great Long Clan Hall, the central area in the Long family estate where all the important members of the family gather for important meetings that decide the future of the clan.

"So... what you're saying is that... those beasts invaded the city in order to protect the spiritual mine that's in the forest near ZhenYi City, did I get it correct?" Long Yang said in a serious and cold tone, reflecting his position as the clan head of the Long family.

"Yes, clan head!" Long Tian said, his tone equally serious, as he addressed Long Yang as "clan head" and not "father" because it was not allowed and it was a formality.

"Patriarch! If this news is true!... then we need to suppress the news at all costs and seize it as soon as possible!" An elder of the Long family voiced his opinion with a thoughtful look.

"I agree!"

"Humph! If we don't do that, those snakes from that family will try to reap all the benefits that the young lord brought to the family with his incredible feat of defeating all those damned monsters... even if that cost us a few elders." He muttered the last words in a low tone as the Hall got silent because of his words.

"Ahem! It's no time for us to mourn or be sad over our loss!"
