'Help him conquer the world? My ass!' Leo snorted as he fiddled with a grayish stone that had several inscriptions visible all over its surface.

After leaving Leo with a book and a stone, the cloaked individual vanishes as if he never existed. He did leave some words, mentioning that he would go around and find more members.

Sigh

Had it not been for his safety concerns, he would have never considered accepting that contract. Even though he did gain something out of it, he still hated the thought of helping someone achieve their objective. Furthermore, he clearly has ulterior motives for going to this length to hire him.

'Now then, how should I deal with this stupid contract?' Leo pondered as he quickly skimmed the contract, searching for any possible loophole he could take advantage of.

Knock knock

That was when someone knocked on the door.

"Husband, can I come in?" A calm, soft voice—that of none other than Mia—came from behind the door.

"Garw" (Yeah)

Having been given permission, the door creaked open as a beautiful white-haired girl entered.

"Husband, where did the other guy go?" Mia said as she noticed her husband was by himself.

"Garw Garw Garw" (That crazy bastard left, but anyway, you came at the right time. I have a question to ask you.) Leo said that and patted his lap, gesturing for her to sit on it.

With a joyful smile, Mia sat down on his lap and rested her entire body on his chest. "So what did you want to ask me?"

"Garw Garw" (Is there a method to remove a contract that you made with someone?) he asked as his fingers swept over her entire body. Certainly, teasing her body made him feel a little less frustrated about what had transpired.

"So that guy made a contract with you" Mia guessed, not minding that the goblin was playing with her body.

"Garw Garw" (If it wasn't for him being stronger than me, I would have never accepted that foolish contract.) Leo said in a frustrated tone, while his hand grew more aggressive, slid under her clothes, and began squeezing her exposed breast, "Garw Garw" (So tell me, is there a way to remove a contract?)

"Hm~Well, the only way I know is to ahn~ go to one of the temples that belong ahn~ to the goddess, Isabel," she replied, moaning in between words as her husband played with her breasts, bringing her pleasure.

Hearing what she just said, Leo's hand halted. "Garw Garw?" (A temple… but let me guess that since I am a monster, the goddess probably won't help me remove the contract.)

"No," Mia denies and shakes her head, surprising Leo. "Goddess Isabel is a neutral god, so the temple will help anyone, even if you are a monster."

"Garw Garw" (Oho?) He smirked, having found a solution.

"However, husband, you must understand that each goddess or god has their own way of doing things. To get a contract removed at the goddess Isabel temple, you must pay a price, and it is not cheap. Though the cost may vary depending on the contract,"

"Garw Garw" (a price? Tch!) He clicked his tongue and pulled Mia's nipple forcefully, causing her to scream out in pain and pleasure. 'I guess nothing is free in any world'

"Garw Garw" (So where are these so-called temples?) He asked Mia, who appeared to have climaxed and was breathing rapidly from just him playing with her breast.

"Huff… huff that I don't know." She replied with a flushed face. She then spun around and gave the goblin a lustful, desireful look in her eyes. "Husband, let's have some fu—"

"No, you and I both have work to do. Head to the prison and extract information from the female we just caught." Leo said and yanked her down his lap.

"Ehhh, so mean~" She pouted with a displeased and disappointed expression, but she still obeyed him, left the hut, and proceeded toward the underground prison.

When he's on his own again, he brings his attention to the stone the man in the cloak gave him. Using his skill [Advanced Inspect] on the stone, a translucent screen materialized before him.

'I will happily use this.' He reached over and picked up the stone he had previously set on the table and began pouring mana into it through his palm.

As his mana entered the stone, the inscription glowed, filling the dimly lit hut with light. It flies out of his hand and begins to rotate as it rises until it reaches the same height as his forehead.

The stone started to shake as cracks began forming all over its surface. It then burst apart as tiny, different-colored particles emerged and gradually flew toward his forehead. He closed his eyes, feeling a flood of rune-related knowledge and information rush into his brain.

With so much knowledge pouring into his head, he had anticipated getting a headache, but surprisingly, he didn't. When all of the particles had entered his forehead, he opened his eyes as he heard a sudden ding in his head.

Leo nodded his head, pleased that he had acquired two new abilities, but his expression fell once more and his fist tightened as he remembered the cloaked individual.

The feeling of not being the one in control left him very dissatisfied and irritated. And this happened because he was too weak. He has to become stronger—no, the strongest! So that no one can get in his path.
