Mia giving birth

Crackling

Sizzle

Broken logs and branches were set on fire in one of the small caves, and Leo can be seen frying raw forest wolf meat he hunted today over an iron pan. He didn't forget to put in some salt chives and pepper seeds to add flavor to the meat, as it tends to not have any taste. He also cooked some mushrooms that he found along his hunting trip.

Leo learned how to cook during his past life as he worked at his parent's restaurant when one of the employees fell ill. Working there for around 2 months, he learned how to cook some basic and simple dishes.

'It done'

About 15 minutes later, the food was finished cooking and ready to be eaten. He placed some meat and mushrooms in two bowls, one for him and the other for Mia, and carried them to the prison room. When he entered the prison cave, he saw that she was awake, lost in her thoughts.

She broke out of her thoughts when the smell of something tasty filled her nose. Wondering where the smell was coming from, she looked around until she spotted the goblin with two bowls in his hand.

'It smells so nice.'

She could not help but gulp a mouthful of saliva down her throat.

Gulp

"Were you cooking? It smells good." She said this without moving her eyes away from the bowl. She was surprised that the goblin knew how to cook but remembered that this goblin was different from the average goblin.

Noticing her drooling as she stared at the bowl in his hand, he suddenly got a mischievous idea. He sat down and put the bowls in front of him, but at a distance, she couldn't reach them. He picked up a piece of cooked meat and brought it in front of her mouth.

Growl~~

Although she was always embarrassed about being fed by the goblin, she couldn't resist moving her head forward and opening her mouth to get a bite of that juicy meat.

"Eh?"

However, just when she was about to bite into the meat, Leo moved it away. Bewildered by the sudden action, Mia turned her eyes toward the goblin and found it grinning mischievously. Realizing he was toying with her, she became a little annoyed.

'Why did he do that for?' She thought.

He moved the meat in front of her mouth again and then moved it up and down to tempt her. When she tried to eat it, the same thing happened.

"You are so cruel!" She snapped, having had enough of this, and stopped her useless attempts.

'Tch, giving up this soon? No fun. I won't give you any food until you beg for it. Heh heh'

Leo started to dig in on the food, filling his stomach with the delicious wolf meat. Mia could only watch in envy as saliva flowed down her mouth.

"I am hungry too."

….

"Is it delicious?"

"Why are you being so cruel?"

"Hey…"

"Sniff.. Sniff…"

"…"

'Damn, it seems like I have gone too far' Leo thought as he looked at the curled-up girl, shielding her face with her arm and crying.

'She cried over this?'

He tapped her shoulder, but she didn't move or respond.

Sigh

'She is such a weak-willed girl; how did she become an adventurer?' He thought. 'If she was not captured by me, she would eventually be taken advantage of by some wicked people.'

He shakes his head like a father disappointed in his son and promises himself to train this girl into someone strong, not just one who will be dejected over something this childish.

He lifted her head and held the bowl of wolf meat prepared for her in front of her.

"Garw" (here)

"Sniff.."

She weakly moved her hand forward to hold the bowl, believing that the goblin was still toying with her. However, it didn't seem to be the case as he placed the bowl in her hand.

"Sniff.."

She stared at the bowl for some time before she started to quickly devour the food, fearing that the goblin would take it away, stuffing as much as possible in her mouth.

"Dielo..ucs" She utters while having her mouth filled to the brim with her cheek puffed outward.

Two weeks later...

During the two weeks that have passed, Leo has continually gone out to hunt and collect edible plants and vegetables for food.

His level was able to increase by 2 by hunting monsters every day, which allowed him to have an easier time fighting against the low-level monsters around the area. He invariably makes sure to avoid monsters higher in level than him, and those are moving around in groups.

[Silent Step: level 1

Allow user to move silently without making noise

Duration: 1 minute]

Skills can be acquired in several different ways. One of the methods is through learning the skill from someone. This method is commonly used by humans and other humanoid beings like elves, beastmen, vampires, dwarfs, etc. They created Educational institutions like academies around the world for the sole purpose of nourishing the young generation and one of the things they provide is teaching new skills.

The second method was acquiring a skill through a skill book or scroll. These items could be found in dungeons, ancient temples, labyrinths, and towers. However, they are said to be extremely rare and hard to stumble upon.

The third method is by absorbing magic cores. Every being in this world is born with a magic core, but not everyone's magic core will awaken in the beginning. Magic cores are the thing that allows one to manipulate mana and use magic. By absorbing a magic core, one will gain a slight increase in their stat and have a very slim chance of acquiring one single skill from that individual. However not everyone's magic core could sustain itself when they die. Only the magic core of those who reached level 10 and above do.

The fourth method is through repetition of an action that is deemed worthy for a related skill to be created. Leo gains the skill [Silent step] through this method as he frequently sneaks around silently and attacks monsters from behind.

Anyways, Leo is currently returning home after today's hunt, where he caught a wood deer. It was a difficult battle, as wood deer have a coating of wood armor covering their entire body, making it very difficult for a rusted sword to penetrate.

Arriving back home, he suddenly hears Mia screaming in pain.

"AHHHHHH!!!"

Tossing the basket aside, he sprinted toward Mia at his fastest speed. When he arrived, he saw her clutching her hand tightly as sweat formed on her face and tears fell from her eyes as she struggled to endure the pain.

"AHHHHHHH!!"

'She's giving birth'

He stood there, not knowing what he was supposed to do in this situation.

Mia continued to scream nonstop and endure the unbearable pain. She used all her strength to push as hard as possible, hoping the child could come out soon, as she could feel herself getting weaker and weaker as time went by.

"AHHHHH!!!"

"Garw garw!" (It came out!)

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a green-skinned goblin came out. It was a girl with snow-white hair just like her mother, striking crimson-colored eyes just like her father, and an adorable face that a goblin shouldn't have.

However, Mia was still in pain as she was not done yet; there was still one more. A minute later, another baby came out, and it was a boy with snow-white hair and crimson-red eyes just like mine. Mia shortly fell unconscious having exhausted all her strength.

Before Leo could even celebrate the successful birth of twins, his eyes caught something off about the second child.

"Garw?" (Huh?)

There was something wrong with his son. The baby's skin was pale like snow instead of green, his ears were not pointed like goblins, and he had a face that did not resemble those of goblins but instead more like…. humans.

'Something is wrong'

'Something is really wrong!'
