Chapter 19

*Louis POV*

Now in front of my apartment, I look at Jayden with a small smile and he smiles back

"Good night Jayden"I say as I open my door to go, but before I can step into my house Jayden grabs my wrist.

"Is something the matter?"I ask

"Let's have a drink"he responds

As tears gather around my eyes I respond

"I'd love that" trying my best to keep my voice stable.

Still holding my wrist he pulls me towards his apartment,when we're there he takes me straight to his bar and sits me down on a chair. He then proceeds to pull out a bottle of wine,a bottle of tequila,vodka and two glasses.

"Drink whatever you like and if there's anything else you'd like don't hesitate to let me know"he says smiling and taking a seat besides me.

I smile back at him 'i swear everytime he does something like this my pain reduces by like 30%'

"Thank you Jayden"I whisper as I pull the bottle of vodka closer.

After a while of drinking when the alcohol had hit in I broke down again cussing at Endo and Jayden turns towards me pulling my chair closer to his, his cheeks red as beet, it was quite obvious he was drunk. He pouts a little while staring at me crying then he suddenly says

"I really didn't want to say this, ever...but you keep on crying over someone who doesn't even love you back and that hurts me every d**n time"

I'm shocked by his outburst and I clean my tears a little bit finding this both cute and funny. This was the first time in all the years I've known Jayden that I'm seeing him drunk.

"I really wasn't going to tell you this but I can't take it anymore"he says continuing his outburst.

"I love Lou and I know you don't feel the same way about me so I told and convinced myself that I was fine with just being able to see you smile, I told myself that as long as you needed me I'd be someone you could use, someone who'd run to you the moment you put a call across without saying anything or if I heard you cry, Constantly reminding myself that I was happy with being just your comfort person or your friend even."He says rambling on in his empty house with every single word that came out of him filtering into my ear and sticking to my brain like a tattoo.

"I'm sorry that I'm burdening you with my stupid feeling but I can't hold it in anymore."At this point I can see tears welling up in his eyes as he continues his outburst...

"Everytime I see you look at him, everytime you came to me crying because he'd done something that hurt you my heart ached, Everytime you crumbled down in tears I wanted to get angry and make him physically feel atleast half the pain he caused you,but then again I had no right to feel these things or do either of those things so I just quietly stayed besides you."

"Even now I hope I can still stay by your side so please when tomorrow comes I hope you don't remember anything I've said or you act like you didn't hear it at all, Let's just stay the way we've always been"

I break down all over again pulling him into a tight hug. I can't believe I never noticed how much he cared for me all these years and how much pain I'd caused him. That night I promised myself I was going to spend the rest of my life trying to give him even if it's half the love he's given me so far.

*Louis POV*

A few years have passed and I've finally managed to get over Endo, i'd finally started noticing all the little things that Jayden did for me. He still doesn't know what happened the night of Endo's wedding or maybe he's just pretending, I don't know...what I do know is that he still treats me the same way he always did and even though we aren't dating his actions have been giving me butterflies as of late.

Endo on the other hand has been complaining about Elsie. He says she randomly leaves the house and comes back late at night half drunk, she keeps faking smiles and distancing herself, she also doesn't talk to him as much anymore and he didn't know what to think anymore. A few years ago this would have hurt me but now? I'm absolutely fine and have no issues comforting him when he comes over to complain.

One day though Endo comes knocking on my door his eyes filled with tears.
