— I WOULD BE ABLE TO PAY half a million Euros just to find out about the matter dealt with in that office of the Secretary General of the Vatican after we left — Victoria said as she entered her suite at the hotel.

— To me, Cardinal Messina looked visibly troubled. I had the impression that there was a conflict between the two — said the young woman, piggybacking on her mother's suspicion.

— That's just an impression — interjected Green. 'A man in Joseph Messina's position must be under terrible pressure. Imagine combining the position of Cardinal with that of Prime Minister of the Vatican State!

— Maybe you're right, Green — the woman continued — but it doesn't matter. What matters is that we now know the great secret of the Golden Book: the Tree of Life.

— The question we have now is how to find it — Nicole reflected. — Asked the young woman to the priest who had withdrawn into silence.

Green shook his head thoughtfully, he seemed to be far away.

— Don't you agree, Father? — Nicole asked again.

— As? What was it you asked? — Green replied turning to the young woman.

Nicole looked at Victoria, who frowned.

— Father, what are you thinking?

— I'm wondering if we should even start searching for the Tree of Life. Look, Victoria, if this tree was hidden by God, we wouldn't be the ones who should disregard the divine designs. If this golden book we have with us was really the work of Nimrod, what good did that demon have in mind for mankind by making a map pointing to the exact spot where God hid the Tree of Life? If we look at the Holy Scriptures, we will see that this tree, at the beginning of the ages, was open to men so that they could eat its fruits. It was rejected and by Lucifer's influence, our first parents gave preference to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Wouldn't we be committing a madness trying to bring this marvel to civilization?

— I think Father Green is right, Mom — Nicole said a few minutes later, after silent reflection. — Let's imagine the chaos that would settle in the world if this precious treasure were again within man's reach. The Tree of Life... the tree of eternal life. Why would Nimrod have created a hidden map in this book to allow man to discover the most fabulous of treasures? I don't think it's out of love for the human race.
