Aedon and company reached the halls of the royal palace where Brogvin was seated. Brogvin remained seated as he normally does in the presence of fellow dwarves. Elves he may stand up, if he decided to. But even As Aedon, his once close friend walked up to him. He chose to remain seated. King Brogvin, said Aedon. We have been attacked by the hylin, and we need to show our strength he said. If not they will continue to attack us, said Aedon. The hylin! he scoffed not being able to digest the fact that the hylin could muster up courage to attack the dwarves. The mighty dwarves. Zeus is on their side, said Brogvin who had completely changed his demeanor. He looked like a person who was more interested in filling his coffers, rather than the welfare of the dwarves. But he nonetheless listened and sanctioned a war against the hylin. But Aedon and the other dwarves present there, they knew that Brogvin would not do no such thing. He would not send the army and simple evade them the next time, they come up to him.
We need to act ourselves, decided Aedon and the dwarves. We can show them our strength, they all said. Everyone agreed to that. It is up to us to keep the name of the dwarves, high and mighty even in this darkness. They all looked up and saw the darkness envelop around them. Their eyes were showing signs of fear. We must be strong, said Aedon with firmness. We cannot let our fear, give up our dignity. The dwarves rallied to his cry. Let us prepare for war, they said.
