The woman slowly approached the two of them while dusting off her clothes from the battle. "Hey, kid. I remember telling you that you won't be able to take this chimera down, am I right?" She asked with a cold and harsh tone.
"Tch. Everyone has got to start somewhere. What do you want us to do? Just stand idly as every mercenary and some of the Luna Wolves steal every single chimera kill?!" Grim clicked his tongue as he exclaimed back.
"Just get lost. This kind of life is not fit for you." She said before turning her back towards him and walking away.
Grim ran towards her quickly. "W-Wait!" he stopped her dead in her tracks.
Before she could ask him what more he wanted to say, she turned around and saw Grim and Dart both bowing their heads to her.
"Please teach me how to do that wind ability that you did earlier!" the elven boy pleaded as he bowed his head as a form of respect.
"First off, young boy, what do you hope to accomplish by being a chimera hunter? It is not a reputable job, you can always just work diligently in some factory and live a modest life. You saw how that thing could have shredded you into bits more times than one. I do not get why a child like you wants to pursue this line of work." She replied while shaking her head.
Grim did not respond back. He kept his head down as she walked away into the forest.
The inhabitants of the slums greeted her and asked her what happened to the chimera.
Grim and Dart were still following her, however. "What's the plan now, Grim?" Dart asked in a concerned tone, the baby dragon's tail was limp and didn't have the constant jolliness as it always did.
"We're following her just to make sure she won't spill the beans about me having a chimera. Besides, there's still a ray of hope that she might give us a chance take us in as her students." Grim said.
"How do you say so?" Dart was puzzled.
"Just a gut feeling." Grim smiled.
