The Impossible

ROAR!

Crap. Heard that? That's the sound of a bear. What's wrong with that right? Well nothing, except that it came from the leader bear from a pack of them chasing us through the dungeon. This pack contains 5 bears ranging from levels 25 to 30.

Me and my party could barely slay a bear pack with 3 members, and to do that we usually bring a whole bunch of healing potions. What could we do with a pack like this? Easy. Run of course, what could you do? A bear pack like this should be handled by a party of C rank adventurers, or a couple of B rankers.

You may ask how this happened. We were completing a quest on subjugating a couple of gray wolves , a monster found on the 13th floor that's easier to slay than the bears in our opinion. They can be found in floors 10-15 along with the bears. While we were about to head back to the guild to claim out reward, a bunch of idiots ran past us and left the bears for us to handle. What losers.

I have a teleportation scroll in my bag but it requires around a minute or two to activate. If we ever want to quickly get out of this mess, we have to think of a way to take care of the bears.

"There's a dead end up ahead!" shouted Marie.

Ahhhh dead ends. Why did we have to run into one right now, of all the times we went into the dungeon.

Ah, I must've forgotten to mention my party members. We have 5 members: Marie, a mage and my childhood friend; Ryan (Me), a swordsman; Jace, our tank; Emma, our healer and last but not the least; Gin, our archer. We're all D rank adventurers who haven't got a clue as to what's going to happen to us.

Wow. What great timing.

Our backs are against the cave wall. I think we've all accepted the fact that we're going to die here at the hands of these bears, but we at least got to try to fight our way out. Gin kept shooting arrows, but at level 30, the leader bear merely tanked them and barely flinched as the remaining arrows in Gin's quiver hit him.

With my sword in hand, I stood in front of the party, being the strongest person in it at level 23. I had to muster up every ounce of courage remaining in me just to stand in front of the 3 meter high bears. I have to at least try to fight.

A bear stepped forward and stomped it's foot. The ground rumbled and we all fell down. It might just be the skill |Earthquake| but for some reason it was very powerful. What are these bears...

My body felt very weak. For some reason, it probably zapped us at least 90% of our health points. Human bodies only feel this weak once a user's health drops into the 10% range.

Well this is it. The end of my life. I should've confessed to Marie earlier that I like her but too late for that. Hopefully I'll get reincarnated as a more powerful bei-

Skill gained:

|Limit Break|

- A legendary skill that has only been obtained once in the history of the world. Speculation says that this equals skills bestowed by Gods. Cannot tell which God this skill originated from.

Effects:

- Once user is on the verge of death, skill activates and gives user a 10x stat boost on every status for a period that lasts up to a few hours. Skill activation is identified by a white aura that surrounds the user.

- User may faint after use. Although it is noted that the first user of this skill was able to overcome it through training and sheer will.

Well, time to slay some bears I guess.

This skill is overpowered. Maybe too overpowered to even exist. How am I even bestowed with such a skill? Is there a criteria the Gods use to judge people or it actually just happens by chance? My mind filled with a lot of questions regarding the skill, but first I have to make it out alive.

As soon as I saw the white aura around myself, I knew it. The skill is active. I quickly checked my stats and saw them. From around 50 strength it shot up to 500 immediately once the skill activated! I really have to remember to do some research regarding this skill later on.

I made quick work of the bears. From level 23, killing 5 bears ranging from level 25 to 30 got me up to level 28. This skill is too good to be true.

I quickly gathered my fellow party members and used the teleportation scroll to quickly go to Stratos City. Stratos City, is a city well known for the Ruby dungeon, one of the four infamous dungeons that people venture in to fight monsters, mine minerals, earn money, and eventually, a goal of every adventurer going in he dungeons, to finish it.

Each dungeon consists of 100 floors with a big boss every 20 floors, or so we think. The guild has encountered bosses in floors 20 and 40 but since no one has reached the 50th floor yet, we haven't been totally sure.

The four dungeons are famous for having the most floors ever recorded for a dungeon(s) and the fact that nobody has finished even one of them. A lot, if not all adventurers aim to be strong enough to finish even one of the four dungeons.

There are some minor dungeons out there, but another reason the four infamous dungeons are famous, is because of the rewards and loot you get in them. The dungeons sometimes have hidden chests and loot in some floors waiting to be found. Who knows, we may find a legendary tier piece of equipment by exploring!

But of course, before we do more exploring, we need to be in a better shape to do all that!

As soon as I got to the surface and called for help, all I can remember is my field of vision suddenly blacking out for some reason... must be the skill effect.
