Chapter 1- The Beginning

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the cityscape as Hollie Joy walked home from her mundane job at a local bookstore. Little did she know that her life was about to take a drastic turn.

As she turned the corner into her quiet neighborhood, a sudden chill ran down her spine. The air felt heavy, and an ominous silence enveloped the streets. Unsettled, Hollie quickened her pace, glancing around nervously.

In the distance, a low growl echoed, and the ground trembled beneath her feet. Hollie's heart raced as she saw dark, shadowy figures materialize from what look to be a crack in space. Demons, grotesque and menacing, emerged to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world. Panic set in as chaos erupted around her.

People screamed and fled in every direction, their desperation palpable in the chaos. Just as despair threatened to engulf them, a radiant light cascaded from above, bathing some of the terrified individuals, including Hollie, in its luminous embrace. A commanding voice resonated through the air, offering a glimmer of hope to those touched by the ethereal light.

"To all those graced by this light, I grant you the power to fight back. May it be a beacon of strength in the trials that lie ahead. I hope, in the future, it can guide you through the shadows that seek to consume our world."
