I enter the teleportation gate, and I'm sent to a space that's sort of like a waiting room. A screen pops up in front of me, and I'm given a list of choices, and I scroll through the list. Some places are grayed out due to having a cost of money to enter. Others need to be discovered on foot, and some have level requirements before you can teleport there. I go to the search bar and type in the name Kedwein. It's a city in the Termal Empire and is near its easternmost border. There should be a conflict going on in Kedwein right now, well near it.
A local group of monsters is being led by a Rare Grade monster. He's a Vampire. If my memory serves me, his name is Von Jeric... Something... Can't remember the last part of his name. He and his assault on the fair city of Kedwein aren't why I'm heading there. There's a dungeon near Kedwein, and it's filled with Greedy Goblins. They're a unique subspecies that cares for nothing other than gold. They don't kidnap women, and they don't do anything nasty like that. They're mad for gold, and they can sense it a mile off. It's one of the best places to farm gold starting out in Libertas.
I click the name, and it teleports me in the span of a couple of seconds. I'm gently let out from the teleportation gate, and I gracefully land on my feet. I look around, and there is quite a number of players. "LOOKING FOR 2 MORE FOR A PARTY AGAINST FOREST GNOME DUNGEON!!" No one discovered the dungeon for the Greedy Goblins yet, and many will be looking for parties to raid the locally known dungeon Forest Gnomes Hideout. It's got some decently strong mobs and bosses, but nothing worthwhile in terms of an item drop.
The platform I'm on starts to slowly fill up as players come and go from the teleportation gate. "LOOKING FOR 8 MORE TO TAKE ON VON JERIC LARIDS RAID!!" There is no one in all of Libertas ready for a raid yet. Von Jeric Larids raid is also a challenge many who aren't even level 20 should try yet. The wonderful part about the raid is that it doesn't have a level requirement, but it does have a player requirement. Raids are incredibly complicated challenges in Libertas, and you need a guild or great party to take one on and lots of players.
The higher ones require hundreds or thousands of players. Von Jeric Larids raid maxes out at 45 players. I can't help myself from sighing as I slowly walk away from the platform and the players yelling to passing groups looking to pick up some helpers. "You look like you can handle yourself!" I continue walking, but I soon feel a hand on my shoulder, and I'm turned around. I'm looking down at a geared man. What he said is a total lie. He's trying to flatter me and hope I fill in the last spot to whatever activity he's doing. I'm still wearing my starter clothes.
I smack his hand away, and I can tell that frustrates him. He's about to speak, but I stare at him dead in the eyes. He shuts up. "I'm not an idiot. Find some other sucker willing to be your cannon fodder. I have more important things to deal with." I can see his ego is a little hurt at how easily I called him on his attempts. I turn around and continue walking. People can try to take on that raid, but no group or guild will be able to take it on. I'm not nearly strong enough to take it on, and I know my limits. Hopefully, others will realize there's and work to get stronger.
Speaking of priorities, I have to speak to a person before I can actually get access to the dungeon I'm here for. The next stop is the library and the most important person in Kedwein. In my opinion, of course. You should always prioritize NPC's that give great quests and locations to important places priority over high ranking officials. That's just my opinion, but I think it's sound. I walk the road and I see both players and NPC's talking and preparing to travel together for some adventure. It's nostalgic. I miss that sometimes.
