The Black Phoenix

Buhle gently knocked at the door on room five on the faculty blog and entered the room.

Since it was lunchtime most teacher were in the faculty cafeteria, miss Megan who usually brings food from home or restaurant was the only one in room five.

Seeing the door open she subconsciously looked at the door and saw a young beautiful woman entering, she opened her eyes wide, her eyebrows raised, she stop what she was doing and put her hands on her mouth.

"Buhle is that you?" Megan call out, her voice in disbelieve, she looked closer. "It is you." she screamed, running towards Buhle, her hands wide open, her face full of smile and a bit teary eyes.

Why didn't you say that you are in Bongsburg? She asked hugging her. Buhle hugged her back, her face full of smile.

"I wanted to surprise you." Buhle said gently squeezing Megan.

"It's a good surprise indeed." Megan said as she gently holds Buhle's shoulders and looked at her. "You've grown so much in two years; look at you, you no longer the awkward girl I used to tutor back when I was at the University of Goli, you beautiful." She said with a smile.

Buhle smile. "It's been that long and you are even more beautiful than before, I brought your favorites, straight from Goli." She said as she took out two paper cups filled with ramen.

"Ahhh this takes me back, thank you so much, the ramen in Bongsburg is not as good as the one they make in Goli." Megan screamed as she went to boil water from the electric kettle.

Buhle took a chair and sat on Megan's table and place the two ramen cups on the table. "How have you been and how is it teaching here?" Buhle asked.

"It's been great in the past two years." Megan said then frowns a bit before she continued; "until last Monday, these three days have been driving me crazy." She said as she pours the boiled water into the ramen paper cups.

Buhle looked at Megan. "Is it because of Tristin, he's been in this school for three days now." She thought before asking; "why is that Megan?"

"There's this new kid who just transfer, he's been nothing but trouble, I can't seem to figure him out." Megan said with one hand on the table and the other on her hip as she thinks about the time Tristin squeezed her boobs with his firm chest as her face turned slightly red.

With her keep observation Buhle quickly notice Megan flustered face. "Is Megan intrigue by Tristin?" She asked herself as she looked at Megan before saying; "it's not like you to try and understand mischievous students."

Megan sat down as she shook her head. "His not mischievous at all, quite the opposite in fact, he's smart, handsome, talented and a bit cocky but everything he does is like its within his ploy." Megan said as she eats her ramen noodles 

"I came to the right place to learn about what Tristin has been up too these day." Buhle thought before looking at Megan with a smile and teased to get more info. "To me it sounds like you admire him." She said

Megan chuckled while the noodles filled her mouth. "Oh please, why would I? He beat up Thomas Ngobeni and took his car but he didn't stop there he went to date Thomas's cousin after that. How could one guy turn the school upside down in just three days?"

"You mean the son of the head of the Ngobeni family?" Buhle asked. "The Ngobeni family might be big in Bongsburg but this is a third tier city compare to families in Goli and Sunville, what would Tristin want from them?" Buhle wondered.

"Yeah, the biggest family in the west of Bongsburg, it's like he's trying to teach them a lesson or something but to me he is just playing with fire." Megan said.

"This is interesting, there might be more to this than it seems, when father heard about the talent student at the university Goli, he wanted me to get close to her, saying she might be useful someday and he was right Megan is useful, I got more about Tristin than what I did at his house last night." Buhle thought as she listens to Megan talk about what Tristin was up too. 

Megan didn't disappoint, she ramble about everything Tristin did except for the part where Tristin chest pressed hers. Buhle listen and commented a bit there and there.

Tristin who was enjoying the picnic with Lerato didn't know that everything he did so far is being told to Buhle by Megan.

"The afternoons classes will start soon lets pack up and head back to class after putting everything to the car." Tristin said as he held Lerato who was still lying on his chest.

"I wish this can last forever." Lerato said as she stood up. "But that's fantasy talking." She said as she gave Tristin a hand, helping him up.

"In the future we will have more time like this." Tristin reassured as they pack everything and return it to Tristin's car. As they head back to class under everyone's gaze, Tristin learn that there is a beautiful woman who came to school but no one knows who she is.

Just when they arrived in class the bell rang and the afternoon lesson began. Megan had the last class of the day for Tristin but she decided to skip the class since she was busy talking to Buhle in the staff room.

Before Tristin new it, it was afterschool. Tristin offered Lerato a ride home but Lerato politely refused since she has already made plans with her friend Zinhle. Tristin also understood and decide to walk to the student parking with Max

The parking lot was full of student, it seems like they are waiting for something. Seeing this scene Tristin asked Max; "is there a duel about to happen between some other kids today?"

Max shrugs his shoulders and shook his head; "I don't know, I haven't heard anything like that." He said also puzzled by seeing so many students grouping together. 

"Oh well, we'll soon find out what's going on." Tristin said unbothered

"Here he comes." Some guy shouted as he sees Tristin coming to the parking with Max

All eyes turned to the main gate as Tristin and max pass the main gate of the school.

Seeing Tristin, Mdu, the martial artist ran to him.

"Tristin what are you doing, you need to run now it's bad." Mdu said, gasping for air

Both Tristin and Max looked each other with frown face then looked at Mdu, Tristin remember this guy in front of him, he's the most strongest martial arts he has seen in this school, second is Lerato.

Tristin asked raising his eyebrow; "Mdu, what are you talking about?"

"It's Thomas, he's here." Mdu said looking at Tristin with narrowed eyes

"Why would Tristin run away from him, you also saw that Thomas is no match for Tristin?" Max aske frowning in confusion. What's with Mdu today, his always composed but now he has lost his cool. Max asked himself as he looked at Mdu with narrowed eyes.

"He wants another duel?" Tristin asked also in confusion

Mdu shook his head seeing how confused the two in front of him were. "No, he doesn't want another due, he's here for revenge and he came with the Black Phoenix top brass."

"The Black Phoenix is here with Thomas?" Max asked, eyes wide open. This is bad." He murmured.

Tristin looked at the two of them and asked with a frown face; "The Black Phoenix, what is that?"

"Why are you still here?" Max asked Tristin who looked a bit relaxed compare to Max and Mdu.

"You never heard of the Black Phoenix?" Mdu jumped in since he could tell that Tristin is clueless.

"Is a rock band or a hip hop group?" Tristin asked with a smile.

"Cut the jokes Tristin, this is no laughing matter; the Black Phoenix is a dangerous gang that controls the underground of the west side of Bongsburg." Mdu said, his eyes firm.

"This is interesting, I knew if I provoke the Ngobeni family they would use the underground gang but the strongest gang right of the bet." Tristin thought as he held his chin. "How strong are they and how many are here, Mdu?" he asked

"About 30 of them came with Thomas and ten are stronger than me, the rest are as strong as I am but that's not the worse part, their leader is in the top ten of the strongest martial artist in Bongsburg including the south, north, east of Bongsburg." Mdu said looking at Tristin in the eyes

"Is their leader also here?" Tristin asked again

"No, he won't come to fight a kid." Mdu shook his head

"Well why are we standing here for, let's go and meet them, after all they took their time and come here to see me." Tristin said with a smile.

"Tristin this is no time for games, the Black Phoenix doesn't play around, if its duel they want, it's to the death, you will be facing people who had killed so many before. Don't be reckless." Max warned

"Are you saying I should run away?" Tristin asked

"I know you won't run away, all I'm saying you have to think first and don't be reckless, a lot of people might get hurt if this continue to escalate any further." Max said looking at Tristin in the eyes

"Thanks Max, but it's really not my style to roll over to other people. If the fight to the death is what they want, I will give them that." He said he's eyes firm as he step forward to the crowd leaving Max and Mdu behind.
