The Past: The Visions from the Moon 

Longwei headed to the City of Guangzhou after nightfall. There, he looked for a place to live and a job to cover his expenses for the upcoming month. After looking at a number of lodgings, he finally picked an inn near the main street to work at. The reason for his choice was the inn provided meals and accommodations for its employees. He worked there for a week. While serving a cup of tea to a customer, he heard a familiar voice. "Wow… how much did you earn already?" he turned to look and he saw Jiao-Long standing at the entrance.

"Woah! Jiao-Long!"

"Longwei!"

Since his shift was about to end in a few minutes, he told Jiao-Long to take a seat and wait for a bit. Both of them began conversing over a cup of tea.

"How are you? What have you been doing since arriving here?"

"After entering the portal, I found myself in a secluded alley in the middle of the city. I followed the noise of crowd and arrived at a courtyard of sorts. I saw it was fully crowded and a group of astronomers giving advice to people. On a whim, I decided to compare notes with them ended up joining them. It was a few hours later that I found out the people I defeated was the top members of the Royal Astronomers. Now, I'm working in the Palace as a Royal Astronomer."

"Woah! Good for you then."

"Oh! and there is this one girl in the Palace. She's quite the annoying and noisy one."

"Haha, you should ignore her. We are here for the Tournament. So, let's focus on it instead."

They chatted happily until, a Lady arrived outside the Inn. Both of them were shocked, ""What is she doing here!?"" ""Huh?"" ""You know her?!"" both were surprised at how similar their questions were.

"She's…" Before Jiao-Long could explain, she noticed Longwei. Since they sat face to face and Jiao-Long was facing away from the entrance, only Longwei was noticed.

"You!"

The Lady eyes made Longwei to decide he should escape as soon as possible. Longwei ran away and the Lady also followed after him, closely in pursuit. They ran all over the city until they ended up in the Meadow where they had their first encounter.

"Stop!!!"

Both of them stopped, taking a break to catch their breath after all the running.

"Why did you run!?"

"How am I not supposed to run when your Ladyship's eyes reminded me of a predator eyeing its prey!?"

"You! I know you're not a person of this world."

Longwei became nervous and while dodging her eyes, he said, "I… I don't know what you're talking about."

"I know that you're from Mount Penglai. Please, when you return, take me along with you. I've been dreaming of it since I was a kid."

Jiao-Long also arrived there. While panting he complained, "Finally…! You guys were too fast! I almost lost you guys"

"Huh? What are you doing here Jiao-Long?"

"Oh. Greetings your highness. It seems like both of you have met each other before. He's Longwei. My best friend. And Longwei, this is the Niece of the current King, Princess Yueliang."

"Oh. So, she is the one you were telling me about. the one who is a noi-"

Jiao-Long blocked Longwei's mouth and laugh with embarrassment, "Haha…"

"Hmmpft, since both of you are friends, it means both of you came from that land. The Moon told me so." Princess Yueliang had a special talent. She could communicate with astral bodies. She was shown a vision involving Longwei and mount Penglai.

"Please! Take me there with you! Teach me on how to cultivate! You! You owe me from before. You can help me achieve what I need, and this is what the moon is telling me!"

Both Longwei and Jiao-Long looked at each other, not knowing what to do about it.

Meanwhile,

"Hmm, She's the Moon Saintess of this era." Master Rongrong murmured while watching them with the Magical Wind ball.

"What should we do Master? Can we accept disciples in the duration of the tournament?"

"We shouldn't ignore a Moon Saintess. There should be a reason why she saw Longwei and Mount Penglai. This might be a prophecy."

"I understand Sect Master"

"Let Longwei know that we will accept her as a Core Disciples and they should help her build up her foundation."

"Yes Master."

Until the end of one month time period, the three of them were always together. Longwei taught Princess Yueliang the basics of cultivation while, Jiao-Long supports her to practice them.

Longwei and Jiao-Long did not notice that both of them sere slowly getting attracted to the Princess. Jiao-Long noticed that the Princess was always looking at Longwei. Their gazes slowly changed from gazes of interest and curiosity to gazes filled with longing and affection with time. Jiao-Long saw how the Princess and Longwei looked at each other. With time, Jiao-Long began to grow hatred and jealousy toward Longwei.

After a month of staying in the Mortal Realm, all of the disciples were brought back Mount Penglai along with Princess Yueliang, who was a disciple directly accepted by Sect Master Rongrong.

Everyone welcomed Princess as the newest Core Disciple, "Welcome to Penglai Sect, your Highness."

"Thank you. Sect Master Rongrong for accepting me as one of your disciples."

"You can call me Master from now on. Also, follow me to the Sect Master Hall, there's something I need to ask of you."

The Princess followed Master Rongrong while, Longwei asked Jiao-Long what has happened to him. Jiao-Long was behaving differently since a few days ago. But, instead of answering him, Jiao-Long returned to his dwelling showing open hostility and hatred toward him.

Longwei had long since noticed Jiao-Long's jealousy, but he couldn't find a reason for the sudden change in Jiao-Long so, he tried to confront him about it.

"Jiao-Long!"

"What!?"

"What's gotten into you?"

"You're asking me that!? You should've stayed away from the Princess!"

"You like the Princess!?"

Jiao-Long's anger finally burst out and he attacked Longwei. One of their fellow disciples tried to stop the fight but, Jiao-Long accidentally killed him in his anger. Master Rongrong felt the fluctuation of power and he immediately arrived at the scene and stopped their fight. He also noticed one of his Disciples were lying dead.

Due to this incident, Jiao-Long was expelled for killing a fellow Disciple. After being expelled, all traces of his tracks disappeared.
