Escape from the past (Part 2)

-"Even the darkest shadows can not stop me. I finally found you. Your footprints are even in your paintings."

I could not believe it. Someone was standing in front of me that I thought could not be on the ground. He came out of the shadows and said to me:

-"Interestingly, you closed the door of your mind on me. I can not enter your brain, old friend."

- "What are you doing here?"

He laughed and said, "My best friend imprisoned me in the water, and of course, I'm not as disloyal as he is. I looked everywhere for him."

It had been 16 years since I last saw Hans; he couldn't be on earth. He must have been imprisoned under the Atlantic.

- "Aiden, baby. I can ask you why I can't get into your mind? You and I could read each other's minds very well."

It was hard for me to recognize Hans's face. Thanks to Agnosia for helping me not to read Hans's mind; I'm sure that's why he couldn't read my mind either.

- "I do not feel that you are in my mind. Are you afraid to imprison you in my mind? I should have done this as soon as I could before you imprisoned me in a steel prison under millions of liters of water."

Hans disappeared in the blink of an eye. He was always looking to learn magic; But now his magical power was much more significant. Perhaps with the help of this force, Hans could escape from the prison I had built for him. He suddenly appeared behind me and said, "You painted Essex the way I remember. Maybe I should have allowed you to throw yourself into the ocean that day and have your head crushed on the rocks."

- "Hans, no one has been waiting for you here. I do not know how you escaped from your prison, but it is better to start a new life like me."

Hans disappeared again. Suddenly, pain-filled my whole being. I could not move. I felt like I was getting off the ground. In the blink of an eye, I clung to the ceiling. I felt like I was being pressed to the top with a multi-ton press machine. Suddenly I was thrown from above. I felt like all my bones were broken. I could not move; I could not even moan because of the pain.

"Now it's time to reattach your broken bones," Hans said.

Hans waved his hand in the air, and I felt every single bone in my body pierce. I experienced indescribable pain. After a few minutes, there was no news of pain. I was able to crawl into a corner and sit against a wall.

Hans approached me and said, "Did it hurt? It was a pain I experienced all these years. Why did you do it with your only friend?"

- "Hans, must you have forgotten what a horrible creature you were?"

- "Who said I forgot? If you let me get into your little brain, I would show you what Gerry-Mander is!"

- "Are you proud to be a monster?"

Hans, as always, tried to show himself cool-headed. He started reading magic words under his lips and got closer to me. My head started to hurt. It was as if someone was driving a steel nail into my skull. This was the effect of magic words. Hans was trying to get into my mind. The only power that could stop him from entering my mind was Agnosia.

The beginning of my and Hans's story goes back to school. I was a lonely child because of my strength. One day in the middle of the school year, our teacher entered the classroom with a boy my age. It was Hans who came here from another city. His parents had been killed in an accident. He was living in our city with his only relative, that is, his aunt.

Since the only vacancy in the classroom was the chair next to me, Hans sat next to me. He had a kind look, and I had easily entered his mind. Hans witnessed the death of his family. I realized in Hans's mind that he was just as lonely as I was, But the reason was not apparent.

Hans was kind and diligent. He accepted me as his friend. When the seniors of the school wanted to beat me, he approached them and stared at them. The two boys held their heads in their hands and walked away in fear. Hans took my hand and said, "Come on, you must not let those kids bother you. You are stronger than them."

-"No, I'm not strong. I'm afraid of all these kids."

"Are you afraid of their thoughts or their heavy hands?"

I was surprised by Hans' words. I tried to read his mind. "Do not try to read my mind," said Hans. "Thank you for entering my mind only once, but please do not enter my mind too much."

How did Hans know that I could read his mind? Maybe he had heard the rumors of the school. I did not want to lose him. Hans was my first friend.

- "Aiden, I know you have the ability to read minds. I also know that, like me, you are very annoyed by your power. I'm not afraid of you, and I do not hate you."

Aunt Hans owned a naturopathy store. She was a hybrid woman, lovely and single, and lived almost in our neighborhood. I did not say anything to Hans that day. I was shocked; But when we got to Aunt Hans's shop, he told me, "Don't tell Aunt Zilan what happened at school today. If she finds out, she will be angry."

Entering the Zilan naturopathy store was perhaps the beginning of a new era in my life. Where I realized many people like me live in this world.
