Chapter 45 The Secret is Discovered

Rory's heart leapt to his throat. He glanced nervously at Lily and prayed to the heavens that Lily had not seen anything through the hole.

However, he knew that it would not happen without a miracle.

Just then, Lily turned around with a pout. She then smiled at Rory and said, "I thought I'd be able to see into the next room from here, but I must be mistaken. It's all dark in there. The walls in the city must be so much better than the walls in our village."

Rory thought he had heard it wrong. Dark? Still, there was no way for him to be able to verify it without exposing himself. He just scratched his head and chuckled drily. "Oh, of course, they are."

Even if he said so, he was wondering how it was possible for Lily to see darkness through the hole. Had Mya blocked the hole from the other side in her room?
