Chapter 38 A Commotion in the Middle of the Night

Rory cursed in his heart. He quickly hurried out at once.

"Ah, Mya! Where did you go?" Rory stood in front of Mya and said with a smile.

Mya rolled her eyes at him and said grumpily, "Rory, why are you so flustered? I just went out to buy something. Hey, why is the light in my room turned on? Who's there?"

Seeing that Mya was about to go into the bedroom, Rory rushed forward to stop her. "Hey, Mya, it's Toby, he's back. He got drunk and was just sent back."

Mya was surprised. "What? Isn't he only coming back a few days later?"

Before finishing her sentence, she pushed Rory away and quickly entered the room.

"Toby, explain to me what's going on!" Soon, Rory heard Mya's exasperated cry.

Rory groaned inwardly. Toby was quite the idiot for digging his own grave and jumping into it. There was nobody else to blame except himself.
