The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR:ARE YOU SURE THIS WASN'T A PLAN?

The three walked to the dining table and had their breakfast after which Naysa requested to go back to school. It was a Monday and she had two lectures.

"I have to assign some bodyguards to keep you safe. No more riding on that motorcycle again." Jemmy said. Naysa rolled her big eyes on him.

"I don't need guards. I need my own privacy. I can manage myself." Naysa said. "Whatever happened was an accident." She added.

"Are you sure you don't need guards? Are you going to be safe by yourself?" Jemmy asked.

"Mmh... I have less than six months to my graduation, so I'll be safe. Besides, I don't want to draw anyone's attention." Naysa said seriously. Jemmy half nodded.

After breakfast, Stenson, Naysa and Jemmy got into one car. The guard got into the other cars and the convoy left Emerald Castle, leaving behind Hank and other solemn guards who were praying Hank would go with the leaving party.

The cars stopped at Wave valley university where Naysa ran away after alighting and waving a good bye. Jemmy waited until she disappeared into the school compound before the cars turned around and left. Naysa would have requested to go to her apartment first to get Pearl but Marina told her she had gone for it.

Naysa ran into room 306. She had approximately an hour before the class started. She had enough time to get the full information from Livia and have a talk to Marina and apologize for not listening to her in the first place.

Marina was in the room alone with Pearl who looked bored. When Naysa entered, Pearl ran to her. She didn't know whether to pick it up first or hug Marina first. She picked Pearl up first.

"Am sorry I was that careless little puppy." Naysa roughened it's fluffy hair. Then she walked to Marina and gave her a peck on the cheek. Marina just looked at her silently.

"Am sorry Rina." She forced a smile.

"Do you know how much worried I was Naysa? Please, say something more than just a mere sorry." Marina said.

"Marina all that was an accident and am sorry I was that careless ok? I just never expected anything like that to happen. I lost my phone, but all in all, am sorry." Naysa said.

"At least that way." Marina smiled at her. "I was forced to call h, after a many trials and getting rejected, it finally went through. You almost killed me with worry, if he didn't pick up in time, you'll be past tense right now. What do you think would happen to me. Take good care of yourself for me please." Marina said.

"Where is Livia?" Naysa asked.

"We couldn't even get on well ok? She left for medical checkup since yesterday she isn't back yet. Maybe she decided to go home." Marina said. "Let's get to class earlier today. Many people are asking about you. " She picked up her book and Naysa's book which she had carried when she went to get Pearl. "Wait, Livia said one man arrived and furiously fought armed people barehanded. Could it be Jemmy? Does he fight?"

"Marina, I don't want to talk about what I don't know ok? I didn't see him, I didn't know where I was. What I know is, I woke up today morning. Are you now satisfied? No more questions about someone I don't know we'll." Naysa grabbed the book. The girls walked out in time to see several groups of students gathered together. Pearl ran ahead and one girl admired it and wanted to give it something to eat.

"Ooh... Cute puppy. I can get you something to eat." She said.

"Sorry... It's full." Naysa walked ahead and picked up Pearl. Everyone turned to look at her.

"Livia said you were involved in the new scandal when Caskeys Shine hotel was burnt down." Lisa's voice came out of the crowd.

As the people started to gather, Seth Gray arrived and led Naysa away, not caring about the swearing crowd. Seth stopped where Ridden was. Naysa smiled awkwardly.

"Naysa, you were in the hotel when it blew up. Livia said someone risked his life for you. Who was it?" Ridden asked sternly. He loved Naysa, but why was she not caring about his feelings?

"And you believe the crowd?" Naysa stood at akimbo, putting Pearl.

"I need the full information from you." Ridden said.

"Ridden you're very ungrateful. Someone risked his life for me, to rescue me for heaven's sake..."

"Don't be dumb and listen to me Naysa." Ridden stood up and walked to her. "The Grant's bombed the Caskey's Shine hotel because they have a political grudge. Jemmy Grant came to your rescue before the hotel blew up. Don't you think all this was a setup?"

"What? How are you sure the person was Jemmy? Which evidence do you have to prove the Grant's bombed the hotel?" Naysa asked.

"I want you to know j have my men everywhere. Am the mayor's son remember? And what happened can't escape my father and I either. James Caskey shot Hank, Jemmy's brother. Though I've never met him in person, my sources are reliable. After being shot, Hank left for country LA, the Grant's home country. Everyone saw the plane before the hotel went into ashes, and, it had a Grant's family logo. Is this not a plan? Are you sure you aren't being a tool to have there desires accomplished?" Ridden asked.
