Alexander placed the last soil on Charlie's grave, with only makeshift tools, he and Denia had buried Charlie's body under a large and shady tree.
"May you rest in peace, my friend," said Alexander. "Once again, thank you."
"Thank you, Charlie," Denia couldn't contain her emotions.
After praying at Charlie's grave, Alexander and Denia left the area, went back down into the canal, and approached the wire fence that covered the mouth of a not-so-large passage.
Previously, Denia had also seen the great wall that divides the urban area from the outside world, not far from the position where they buried Charlie.
Alexander tried to break the wire fence blocking the mouth of the passage with an iron bar in his hand. The wire fence was torn apart, and it opened completely after he tried for a while.
"Alex!" Denia held the man's hand.
Alexander smiled, he gently patted Denia's hand which was holding his hand.
