The Outside

Stepping for the first time out of the gates of Camp Sulga was Yuto's dream, now his goals have been accomplished and what awaits is a journey of endless abilities, the fresh air hits Yuto's lungs as the dirt and chemicals have evaporated from the attack, no humans, chemicals or other life forms were see throughout his senses.

'Thank you, Everyone!'

Yuto's tears started flowing on the ground like as if he had seen the saddest moment in his life but it was the opposite, he was the happiest person to live right now, the others showed no emotion as they were shocked still from the night before while Yuto being the complete opposite was overjoyed with the outside world which was barren and wastelands but this didn't stop him from happiness.

"Let's go, now"

The director starts leading the way by walking in a straight line from the camp, they were just walking and walking till they would eventually meet another camp, they saw the camp getting smaller and smaller as they made their way to the huge abandoned city in the distance, it was huge but from their perspective, it was still tiny due to the distance of it.

"ARGH"

Yuto grunted in pain as a memory flooded his mind, images of the same scene that had happened before they left the man who was fighting and getting attacked by multiple shadows, the memories hit him in an instant but from the perspective of the first shadow who began the attack.

"Where is my backup, we would all have so much fun!"

The voice going through his mind was that of a distorted shadow, Yuto knew they could not speak usually but this instant a clear distorted voice not like when the shadow tried tricking them was heard by him.

'Is this how they communicate to each other, by some language they created or by telepathic abilities... But why can I hear them myself despite me not being a shadow, is this another dream

He thought back to his past experience when the last dream also turned into reality, this could be another one of the same dreams but they are strange to Yuto always from the perspective of the shadow, the last one was with Corvin who despite being a human was already corrupted by a shadow so it was only a matter of time, but in this dream, he is having it's from the shadow perspective from the very start.

"I WILL KILL YOU ALL!"

The same man was killed before they left the gate and screamed at the shadow that he would kill them all, Yuto realised a key factor that the dream couldn't be happening at the current moment as this had already happened, the last dream was the current time and this one was the past.

'So I have something of some sort that lets me see the perspective of shadows from multiple points in time, this would hint that time is somehow broken in this dream world I'm put into, but I think this is just pretty much me being delusional thinking I have something this obscure'

Everyone else looks at Yuto with confused expressions as he randomly freezes and kneels on the floor, they help him get back up on his feet to once again begin their journey.

"YUTO! Did the bad monster hurt you..."

Maya's first scream was heard as she was worried about Yuto's well-being and state, she went up to him and hugged him while crying out for him to be healed not knowing that he was perfectly fine and prepared to keep going.

"Director... I had another one of those dreams"

"You can explain it to me as we continue walking, we don't want to be caught in the middle of the nowhere as our camp for the night, it's pretty early now so we should make it close to the last city by nightfall"

Yuto nods in agreement as they continue walking and Yuto explains the dream to the director

"It was of the man whom we saw before exiting the camp, the one fighting shadows and who died after you told us to leave, I was in the perspective of the shadow and saw what happened and how the shadow was thinking and talking potentially but I'm not sure, the worst part is that it was from the past"

"Are you hinting that you can see the past and future in your dreams, well it was certainly done before in time but the ability to do something like that is like a fantasy, most people who said they had those were burned to death or shot in the modern times for having black magic abilities even if they didn't do anything wrong"

"So it is possible I am one of those people?"

"No I doubt it, the more confusing part isn't the time but the perspective, ever since you had those two dreams you said that they were from the shadow's perspective meaning that you have some sort of link with the shadows, maybe a power of some sort or you might be a born shadow, to begin with"

"THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, BEING BORN A SHADOW?"

"I'm just giving you ideas to keep in mind if another one of those dreams happens to you, don't roar at me as if everything I say is true, just make sure to watch out for whatever things I say the next time this occurs"

Yuto ponders on the idea of what he should do the next time, figuring out why and when these dreams appear is a key factor to discovering the truth behind his mysterious power, once we figure out how to enter and leave at will, this power could be harnessed to Yuto's benefits to predict future events if possible.

'if I find out this, then I will save everyone, no one but I can achieve this power and no one else can help me achieve it, it's all up to me now to help everyone around me and those whom i wish to help
