When the music stopped

----Diana----

I was sleeping in for once, Nagi's training was the most brutal thing you can imagine, I was pushed to the limits day in and day out. Luckily, my new body was fueled in part by the surrounding mana so I could take much moe before I actually got tired.

I had learned a lot about my skills, for example, Stone Flesh allowed me to change into a golem although fully transforming my body was extremely hard because the amount of magic needed was immense so it drained my magic reserves and made me pull magic from the air before I could fully accomplish it.

Beastly fighting was easier to use because it was more of an instinctual skill, I fought like an animal of my choosing, using Stone flesh to grant me claws and the like.

Spirit Magic Source had been more usefull since, like I already said before, the magic was also a source of energy, making me capable of running faster for longer and stuff like that.

Now, Perfect Hybridization was probably the coolest thing ever. It allowed me to embrace all my nature's at once, channeling the intelligence and magic affinity of humanoids, the tenacity of humans, the strength of monsters and the control over earth from spirits.

I had never felt anything like it even when using extremely powerfull buff skills.

Anyways, I woke up when the barrier fell because it became silent, I had gotten so used to sleeping with the constant cacophony caused by the barrier that it being quiet was of putting.

I didn't really realize what was going on for a bit, then I heard the screaming. People were panicking, I put on my clothes and rushed outside.

I looked to see the clear sky, the colourfull barrier had dissapeared. People were running around in the street, rushing to get to their loved ones.

From the outskirts of town, I could hear people screaming, Winged humanoids were descending and feeding on the people, one came towards me.

"What do we have here, smells like a hybrid." Afterwards, it knocked me out and took me.

----Lizbeth----

I had been on a stroll with Markus when the barrier fell, the silence was weird, it didn't fit this city that was filled with sound every moment of the day.

When I saw the message, I started rushing to the inn but I was too late. I saw Diana in the hands of whatever those things were.

When Sang arrived I was destroying everything in sight, not even Markus could calm my rage.

"Hey, Liz, what's going on. Calm down and explain it to me."

"They took her, those winged things, they took Diana."

She stopped me from destroying any more buildings and chanted something, after that, I calmed down.

"I can find her, we'll get her back from the wendigos. Don't worry, she'll be OK."

I started thinking rationally, the winged monsters, apparently Wendigos had eaten everyone else they got their hands on, meaning they needed Diana for something.

While I was thinking, Samg closed her eyes and was chanting something strange.

I could see her soul start moving magic particles, yes this is how magic works, chants cause your soul to move the particles into specific patterns, and I saw how the spell failed.

"Shit, the bitch is refusing to listen. Damnit, I really don't want to do this." Sang muttered then pulled me and Markus towards the center of town.

"Where's Nagi?" He had just pooped into my head. Allaster and Lupo had found a way to enter shadows so they now permanently rested in my shadow with Bearry as a ride-along.

"Knowing him, he's probably still training, not caring about what's happening outside."

"Why wouldn't he care? Isn't he some kind of hero?" I looked to Markus, his answer was kind of confusing, I thought Nagi had a hero complex.

"He knows that it won't affect him and he probably assumes that Diana is either with us or Terry. Speaking of him, I will kick his ass if I find him, the dude was supposed to watch her."

Suddenly he popped up next to us. "I'm sorry, I don't have a way to fight an army of Wemdigos."

"STOP DOING THAT DAMNIT! Also, you could have stalled, at least tried to contact one of us."

"I'm not capable of contacting you guys and I don't like vampires. As for stalling? I'm not that crazy sorry."

We both shot him angry glares but knew he was right, it was obvious that Diana had been a target so he would probably have had to fight a horde of those things.

After walking for a bit, we finally arrived at the building, an group of people seemingly stood guard at the entrance although they were unarmed.

"Ancient One, after what you did, you are no longer welcome here, leave this place now."

Suddenly a woman exited the building and attacked Sang without hesitation.

"Val, calm down. I SAID CALM DOWN!" Sang started radiating a domineering aura which seemed to force the wolf to comply.

"What do you want Sang?" The woman had transformed back to her humanood form, her eyes still radiated rage.

"I need your help."
