Chapter 1

"Ko, ko, ko," The sound reverberated on the metal door.

It was raining but I'm not expecting anyone, my husband will still be at work.

I opened the door slowly, then, I saw him. It was a man drenched by the rain, shivering like a waterleaf. He found it difficult to complete his words as his lips keeps fighting each other.

I couldn't take a closer look either and his situation made me pitied him and ushered him in.

I went to my husband's closet to pick a dress for him which he can change into.

As I give it to him,he rejected at first and after much persuasion, he went to the toilet to change his cloth.

Before he could come back, I've warmed tea for him and he was amazed by my hospitality and I could notice it in his eyes.

We talked over tea and asked if I was the only one livng in the big house.

I chuckled a bit and went on to tell him how my husband usually go to work and leave me alone at home all day.

"He doesn't even allow me to work, but we just got married three months ago. Maybe with time, he could change."

"But what man does that in this generation where we have women holding prioritized and high places in the country."

We kept on talking and talking till it got to a point,before I had knew anything,he was so close to me and it feels uncomftable to me.

I stood up and tried walking to the kitchen when he also stood up and started following me.

I started walking backwards and eventually hit my back on the wall.

With furious look and confused mind,I voiced out "I thought I helped you, what do you want from me?"
