The next day, Tobias sat in his study, looking over the news of Edgar's marriage that was sent to him. He had confirmed from the church that Edgar was married and it was no lie that was going around.
Edgar had caused even more trouble by killing the father of his bride. Tobias was looking to remove the late baron's title not kill him. It wasn't stated what had happened for Edgar to kill the baron but Tobias could make a good guess that someone had pissed off Edgar.
While Hazel was excited over the news and picking out gifts, Tobias still failed to believe it as this wasn't like Edgar. Of all the women in the town, why would his friend choose to marry the daughter of Desmond when Edgar hated Desmond?
Tobias wasn't ready to pick out gifts for the two and jump at celebrating that Edgar was finally in the marriage club as there was something to discover.
