Hazel stirred in bed, awoken by the noise coming from outside. "Why is it so loud?"
"Hazel."
"It's too loud," Hazel muttered, turning to search for Tobias. "Tobias?"
Hazel opened her eyes as the memory of what happened earlier flashed in her head. "Tobias, what happened?"
Hazel was shocked by the sight of Tobias sitting on a chair beside the bed, his hands and clothes bloody. Hazel slid off the bed to go to him to check where he was wounded. "Tobias, are you hurt? Why is there so much blood?"
"He ignored my warning and went to the court so I had to kill him," Tobias answered. "It's a mess in the palace right now so it's best that you don't leave this room. I will have someone bring something to fill your stomach."
"That doesn't matter now. Tell me who you had to kill and why the palace is in a mess. Is it because of me?" Hazel questioned, fearing what happened after she fainted.
