Kidnapped

"I...I'm alright. It was just that the wind was too fast and this made the vase fall on the ground. Otherwise, everything is fine and perfect."

Jennifer kept a bright smile over her face but from inside, she was deathly afraid. Looking at the man, who held the gun like it was a piece of cake for him, she knew that lying is the best option to save herself.

But the maid didn't look entirely convinced by her words either, "I thought that I had heard your scream as well. I thought that you were afraid of someone."

Jennifer's hand on the door tightened after hearing this. She looked at the man behind who was sending her glares to not speak the truth and she chose the same thing for herself.

She continued the act with the fake smile over her face, Jennifer replied in a calm tone, "Oh that! The sudden breaking of the vase scared me so I screamed. It was nothing major. I..I will be out in a few more minutes."

"Alright, miss. I will send your mother and friends to bring you down." Jennifer nodded her head and finally, closing the door, she sighed in relief.

It wasn't an as easy task as she earlier thought. She lied without even blinking her eyes to her old maid, it was really sad but she can't accept anything more out of this situation. Her life was on the light thread. If she commits a single mistake, this kidnapper won't spare her at any cost.

Meanwhile, the man was amazed by her skills to lie. But he had seen how nervous and afraid she was at that time. Her grip on the knob tightened so much that her veins started to become visible.

"You lie quite well, Ms. Jennifer." She lifted her eyes to meet his, only to find that he was mocking her skills.

"Can you please go now? Leave me alone. I have nothing to do with Lucas if you are here because of him." Coming closer to her, the man smiled in a devilish way, making her heart skip a beat due to the tension in the air.

"I'm here to meet you, the bride-to-be who tamed the most famous person, Lucas. But then I changed my mind and thought of seeing how much that person values you. It will be super interesting to see."

His words were confusing to hear. Does Lucas value her? Those were the stupid rumors that have been spread by some people of his own to make others believe that this marriage was out of love and respect.

Moreover, who wouldn't believe that such a playboy and criminal person like Lucas would suddenly wish to settle down with his wife? Hah, that was the most stupid thing she heard.

"I don't know what you have been told but I seriously don't have any relationship with his work and other stuff. If you want to use me to get information, so please don't..." Jennifer felt that he must be here to get the news of Lucas's illegal works which she wasn't aware of at all.

Javier smiled at her cute and innocent behavior. How defensive she acted right now to safeguard herself from his plan. Unfortunately, he had limited time for any kind of chit-chat. "Not about his information...but I want to test his strength of relationships.."

Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her neck as her eyes widened when she saw that this man had actually put an injection into her body.

"Y..You….!! You will not be able to survive!" These were her last words when she fell unconscious on his shoulders and he held her by her waist.

A smirk passed through his lips when he realized, 'We both will be able to survive this, Jennifer.'

With this thought in his mind, he kept the gun back into his pocket and picked her up in the bridal style. Walking near the window he saw how bad the weather was.

It was raining, the storm was on another level with thunder in the sky. The moon was hidden but this doesn't stop him from taking the bride away from this marriage.

Looking at the peaceful face of hers in his arm, a tender look passed through his eyes, and then, with the help of a rope and a ladder, he was easily able to climb down the building and finally landed on the ground.

When he looked above, he saw from where he has jumped, as a slight smirk covered his face

The moonlight was falling on this entire face to show his perfect chin and the God-like figure. 'That was risky.'

But suddenly, he saw the drops of rain falling over his head as his eyes lifted to see the sky and saw large thunder. as the weather was going to get even worse, he had to take Jennifer away before he caught someone else's eyes.

Bringing her to his large jeep, he put her on the back seat. Her face was red, and he knew that injection was affecting her now.

"Do not worry, I will not let anything happen to you. After all, if you die, how will my plan be successful." He mumbled when he observed Jennifer's face.

Without wasting any more time, the kidnapper sat on the driver's seat and drove his car in the direction of the main gate.

With his one hand on the steering wheel, he was on his Bluetooth and heard a voice from it, "Are you done? Her mother and cousins are coming to the room."

"I'm already on the way out. Open the gate and make sure that no one gets alerted."

"It is already done. The guards are replaced with our people and you can leave smoothly. But where are you taking her now?"

A smirk came over his face when he looked at the backseat, to see Jennifer lying unconsciously over her shoulders. Her face was slightly covered with her black hair but didn't stop him from seeing her sleeping face.

A feel of possessiveness passed through his heart when he realized that he has actually brought her out from her own wedding and, the real game of war will begin
