Chapter 3: A New World, A New Me
Sebastian jolts up into a sitting position, starts to look around, and then gets up off the ground. He begins to examine his new body, he seems to be 5'9 and around 16 years old, he also has a pure gold ring band on his left ring finger. He concentrates on it and a grid similar to Minecraft shows up in front of him (It's only visible to him).
There is a fur-lined coat, twin short swords, three different sets of clothes, a large waterskin, a small piece of flint, a small pocket knife, a small pile of pinkish gold coins, and a book about plants. Sebastian takes his focus off his ring and examines his surroundings. He's in a forest and he does not see a clearing anyway near.
Sebastian takes out his twin short swords and goes up to a tree, he then starts to go through an unorganized flurry of slashes and stabs.
*Skills acquired: Stab, Cut*
Sebastian, "Cool so it works through continues actions as well." Sebastian then tries to use his skill by cutting the tree it does not look like it did anything until he hits the tree the cut is deeper than what has been. Sebastian, " So is it passive, or do I have to think about activating it?" He then tests his theory and he has to think about using the skill, but it also seems like he just needs to think about keeping it on and it does. Sebastian, "It's toggle-able, well that's convenient."
Sebastian then starts to think that he should look for food, so he begins to walk around the forest. He puts one of his short swords away into his ring then he starts to walk around to see if there is any wildlife around him besides plants. After 15 minutes of walking, he finds a wild boar sleeping under a tree.
He sneaks around the tree, places his sword on its neck, and activates his stab skill. The boar opens its eyes and tries to squeal, its throat is being flooded with blood, causing it to be unable to produce noise. 2 minutes later the boar died, Sebastian puts his sword away and gets his small hunting knife, then he goes and gets some sticks, leaves, and rocks. He uses the sticks to make a spit, drying rack, meat rack, and fire, he then bleeds the boar. After some time, he starts to gut, skin, and butcher the boar, then he cuts the meat into sections and puts it on the meat rack. He makes a little pile of leaves with rocks around it, then he gets his piece of flint and rock and hits them together to start the fire. 2 hours later, there is a fire cooking some meat with a teen sitting beside it and eating a piece of what looks like dried meat.
Sebastian, "It could use some spices but it's decent."
Sebastian looks around and sees it's about mid-day. He decides he should get moving, he gets up and puts the rest of the meat as well as the drying rack in his ring for later. Then he kicks some dirt in the fire and sees a translucent screen appear, *Skills acquired: Craft, Cook* Sebastian gets up and walks around for about an hour and a half when he finds himself in front of a river.
He pulls his waterskin out and fills it up, when he gets up he sees a strange mark in the water that seems to be shimmering. He goes to a tree and pulls his sword out. He chops one of its long branches off then he whittles the branch to a fine point. Sebastian walks to the river and uses the branch to poke the mark in the water. The mark begins to shine brightly causing Sebastian to close his eyes and the light begins to envelop the stick, then it grows more enveloping Sebastian.
Sebastian opens his eyes and sees that he is on a platform above a room filled with slimes. He gets his twin short swords out and keeps his sharpened stick out. He looks at the slimes and sees that there is a blue core in each of them. He examines the area and sees that there is a staircase to his right and slimes are slowly climbing it. He grabs the stick and goes to one of the slimes and uses his stab skill on it. The make-shift spear goes through the slimes core and the slime evaporates *Monster slain* *7 EXP gained* *System Unlocked* *Opening Status*

Sebastian," Hmm, I didn't ask for this but I'm not complaining. …Close status?"
The screen goes away and Sebastian is shocked to find the slimes are almost at his feet.
In a panic, he begins to use his stab skill repeatedly until his stamina runs out. *LEVEL UP X1*
