The world has ended, the zombie apocalypse has just begun, many people are trying to survive and others are at the army base. Some are fighting in a war with themselves while others fight for their survival, or even for a place where they can die comfortably rather than on a battlefield where it is not worth dying. Hal Collins It is James Finn they are fetching supplies, the two are two surviving students from their high school.

As much as both of them want to stay home, they know that they need more ammunition if they are ever going to find enough for the zombie horde coming after them.They have heard rumors about other survivors. Others who were forced to live by killing zombies, others who survived a massacre and fled into the wilderness. They don'T know which way to go.

James Finn has always been kind of weird around girls but not too weird. He is a little more open when it comes to guys though, he is a little less friendly when it comes to girls so the two are not close.They met up at the old military base last week before classes started. They had been waiting for weeks for supplies and had no choice but to come here together.They would have been glad for more company, but they were afraid someone else will get killed.There is something weird about the whole town. There are no monsters, the undead just appear randomly, there aren't any zombies and most importantly, there haven't been any attacks. The only reason why they still have food is because the soldiers here are doing a lot of fighting. It might be true but it doesn' mean it's safe. The government isn't here.They don't know what they can do. If they go back home they won't be able to return anymore anyway.They are stuck. But for how long?

They meet another student as they leave the old base. It is a skinny girl who looks like she is about 17 years old with brown hair and a very sad face. She has a small backpack on her back. James Finn recognizes her as one of the survivors and asks "Hey! You're new here right?" He tries to smile politely.

Her eyes widen a little bit as she nods hesitantly."Yeah, I'm just leaving the city.""So you're looking for somewhere else?" He asked hopefully.She shakes her head slowly."No.. I don't have anywhere else to go.""What?! Where are you coming from then?!""It's okay, I'll show you around!" Finn offered, he tried to seem friendlier and smiled at her.He didn't realize until later that she was actually scared.He leads her to a part of the town where there isn't a single person to be seen and turns off his flashlight. As soon as he does, the girl shudders, she turns to him and whispers "I know who you are.""Oh yeah? Who?""Don't play games! Your mom told me everything!" His mom never tells anyone about her visits at night. She thinks it's dangerous.

Finn knows who she is now. That's not all she knows, however. "Your mother?" He asks in a whisper "You mean my mom!" The girl nodded sadly.

He takes out his phone and calls one of his moms, who happens to be an officer, asking what's happening. She tells them to wait there and then comes running down the stairs. When she sees him she hugs him tightly, it surprises him as she is supposed to hate him for what he did to her son. "I knew it! I knew something was wrong! You could have died!""Mom, relax," he tries to calm her down, he didn't want to make things worse "we survived.""That's not good enough!" She scolds him "This isn'
